So an old back wound apparently came back again.
Ive only worked 2 days this month so far and wont be back at work until februari. What a shitty start on 2019 for me.
shitloads of new stuff in my pc. Cant keep track of it all.
Ouch, back pains are the worst, you can always feel them no matter what you do.
Hope you've got stuff that takes decent care of the pain and that you're not stuck in bed until it gets somewhat better, focus on resting up so you can be ready to get back to work-work !
Look at it on the bright side, more holidays for you !
Also, look at it this way, this leaves you more time to browse your favourite forum and interact with your favourite people !

I can fully understand you don't want to fuck with cannabis, but there are CBD ( that's the only active component extracted out of the cannabis plant, and it's not psychoactive at all, plus it's in a cream ) creams that can be really effective for muscular pain, if that's what you're suffering of !
Not sure the classic alternatives are any less effective than it, but it's worth a shot if you're looking for something more "natural" that might work
Good luck !

You shouldn't dismiss it just because there are some people whom can't control themselves/abuse it.
It's a plant with medicinal benefits, you can easily use it without belonging to the stoners club. Just like alcohol or any other drugs that gets (ab)used for recreational purposes.
Weed stuff doesn't really help anyway in my experience. Best to prevent back pain by constant exercise.
For beginners - simple holding static push up for 1-3mins, or just hanging on a pull-up bar (or whatever you can hang on). That already helps alot.
As long as it doesn't hurt too much you can also do some careful exercises to relieve the pain.

I dont even smoke. So yeah, I can dismiss it

No need to smoke, like Zor wrote there are also CBD creams. I haven't tried any creams yet but in my experience smoking, vaping, eating never really helped when I had any kind of pain. Rather use Tiger Balm or similar cremes when muscles hurt. And exercise, exercise, exercise
I agree with Shocktrooper, specific exercises and pilates-like types of stretching are the only ways for me to make the back pain tolerable to a degree. They don't actually fix anything in my case as all herniated disks in the lower back are a constant pain in the arse (literally ), but they instantly relieve tension and improve muscle elasticity which is always helpful in the long run regardless of the root issue.
Hope it's nothing serious and you can find an effective method/routine to get rid of the annoying pain Ankh, best of luck!

I don't smoke either... and definitely wouldn't smoke the oil (CBD) if I did
CBD is completely harmless and you dont get any kind of high. If anything, it doesn help at all. But there is no negative effect in trying. I tried it a few times and its relaxing. Though I used a Vaporizer, since I dont smoke nicotine anymore (unless I'm really drunk). I dont usually smoke THC anymore either. I dont like beeing high (it causes uneasiness).
But whatever, I also recommend the sports. I do alot of pull-ups and planks, but I cannot say if it helps back pain, since I dont usually have back pain. Strengthening back muscles should help anyway, though some exercises may do more harm than help. But since there is a doctors appointement, you should have all the help you need.

Btw haven't you gone to a 'sjukgymnast'? They should give you the right exercises for your problem.
Whats that?

I have a bad back and I hope your bad back is fixed asap Ankh. I know how hellish it can be.
My mother is worse off though, she's suffering from spinal stenosis (several vertebra in the lower back is pinching the spinal nerve canal to the point of strong neuropathic pain, weakness in legs/difficult keeping balance, immobilizing, strong muscle pain due to symptomatic over-strain, loss of sensation in one leg) which means I've been forced to do her shopping several times a week and getting her meds since late september. Worst part, it's a hereditary problem. She's getting some pretty heavy stuff for her pain (oxycontin (strong TR opiate) combined with pregabalin (dampens neuropathic pain)).
As a matter of fact, for you to dismiss one of the best and safest pain relievers is the most asinine thing I've ever herd. Cannabis is literally the miracle drug with so many medical uses.
If your pain does get worse, you will end up taking pills equivalent to "heroine". As the previous joke forgot to mention. so why not, use a safer medication? You can eat it you know? In a cookie form?
I mean.. I dunno...whats more important? Ego? Or relief?
