"Chronicles of Narnia" producer Mark Johnson is reported to be involved in the project. The popular novel was the basis for 4A Games' 2010 video game of the same title.

...but (as I mentioned in the Metro 2033 thread) atleast I think this should be done by russians rather than Hollywood.

Nah. Russians can be just as bad as Americans in their filmmaking... Don't see why Russians would be more capable at making a decent film out of this

Cos unlike americans they atleast know Moscow Wink

But really, russian book and russian settings - it proberbly won't end up very "russian alike" if Hollywood get their hands on it. But I do agree with you that any nationality can fuck this up.

The biggest question here would probably be what language they speak. Will it be Russian with English subtitles (probably not, would not sell good in the U.S). Will it be English with a Russian accent (like the game). Or, will it be plain English?

This, obviously, if the movie takes place in Moscow.

That's just the English version. There is also a Ruskie version with Russian voice acting.

Much better if you ask me:

Didn't know that.
It does sound more authentic (better) then the English version.

Me to. K19 is a horrible example of what happens when you force this English with a Russian accent. The movie makes no sense. Why would Russians on a Russian submarine speak with a broken English accent among each other?

..despite being a good movie - I kind of disliked the cockney accent on the russian soldiers in Enemy At The Gates. Tbh they should have used russian actors talking russian instead.

Surely there are some good russian actors just like the ones you can find in pretty much any country??
