Price could be worse I suppose but that shitty filter effect has to die.
Well it happened for IOS Fantasy V and VI so maybe it could work here too and unlike those games the visuals weren't entirely fucked over.
(Mostly the character sprites and some related work, monsters weren't too terrible to be fair.)

EDIT: Well it's not HQ4X at least but eww.
Looks like 2 x Sai or Super Eagle haven't seen those used in years lol
It's the I think it was Gamebay Advance(?) version with the bonus dungeon and the extra here is basically full on upscale filtering (Horribly done to boot.) and a autosave feature. Whoop.
EDIT: And it supports keyboard input but probably about as well as any old SNES emulator already did not much of a thing there although at least it's supported.
(And gamepad of course.)
EDIT: And I see the music was updated too, perhaps a bit less extensively this time, hopefully?
Great game but... well why not just use SNES emulator and have save option any time you want, better graphics filters and everything else this release has (except the additional dungeon)?
sar·casm | \ ˈsär-ˌka-zəm \
1: a sharp and often satirical or ironic utterance designed to cut or give pain
2a: a mode of satirical wit depending for its effect on bitter, caustic, and often ironic language that is usually directed against an individual
b: the use or language of sarcasm

CHRONO TRIGGER – An Update 3 APRIL - SUNILG
Hi everyone,
Thanks for all of your feedback, patience and support so far.
We have been working on addressing the issues that you’ve raised, and will be releasing a number of patches over the coming months as we continue to support CHRONO TRIGGER on Steam.
We’re aiming to release the first of these patches in the first half of April, and the biggest change is that it will include an option to switch between the current high-resolution graphics, and the original graphical style of CHRONO TRIGGER.
We’ll post a full list of changes here when the first patch is released. For now, be assured that we’re working very hard on adjusting, updating and supporting CHRONO TRIGGER on Steam.
As CHRONO TRIGGER is going to receive patches over the coming months, we are going to extend the availability of the Limited Edition until:
5PM, April 30th BST / 9AM, April 30th PDT
Thanks again from all of us on the CHRONO TRIGGER team.

Hey everyone,
Thank you for all of the positive messages you’ve sent us since we announced the fixes we’re making to CHRONO TRIGGER on Steam, and again since the first patch was released. Today we’re releasing the second update patch for CHRONO TRIGGER, and here’s a list of what’s being changed:
A new battle user interface (UI) has been added based on the look and feel of the original CHRONO TRIGGER.
An option has been added to select between the UI optimised for controller/keyboard mentioned above, and the current UI optimised for mouse & touch panels. This option appears in “settings” in the main menu.
The game can now be paused during battle by using the pause button on controller, or the Space bar on the keyboard.
Adjusted the look of playable characters on the world map to be more in-line with the original version of CHRONO TRIGGER.
The resolution of animated cut-scenes has been improved.
The display area of animated cut-scenes has been increased.
Fixed instances where the game slowed down during certain scenes.
The Korean font has been updated.
Other small bugs are fixed.
Here are some screenshots of the new controller/keyboard battle UI in action!
Finally, we’re aiming to release another update to CHRONO TRIGGER in early June this year which will continue to tweak the UI outside of battle, please keep your eyes on the CHRONO TRIGGER Steam page for more details.
Thanks again from everyone on the CHRONO TRIGGER team for all of your support.
CHRONO TRIGGER – Patch #3 Update 6 JUNE - SUNILG
Hey everyone,
The team have been working hard on updating CHRONO TRIGGER on Steam and today we’ve released the third patch – here is a list of all the updates:
The UI has been further updated for those using a controller or keyboard in a number of areas:
Whilst moving on the world map, in towns and in dungeons.
How options in dialog are displayed.
Shop screens.
Whilst selecting a time period to visit.
In mini-games too.
Improvements have been made to battles
You can now flip between pages within menus with single button presses.
Available techs are immediately updated when recovering MP.
The duration the explanation window is shown at the top of the screen has been extended.
Changes have been made to the priority for which information is shown first when there are multiple messages in explanation windows.
A bug where some controls would still respond while the game is paused in battle has been fixed.
Following the last update, we’ve continued to improve gameplay speed in areas where it previously slowed down.
The difficulty has been made more forgiving in specific mini games during story events.
Controller input is now disabled when the game is not active.
Thank you all again so much for continuing to support the Steam version of CHRONO TRIGGER. Today we’ve released the fourth patch, and here is a list of all the updates:
Changes to the menu UI
We’ve changed the user interface (operation method and screen layout) of the following screens to make it more comfortable to play with controller or keyboard.
Menu screen
Title screen (including title menu)
You can select interface either "gamepad/keyboard" or "touch panel/mouse" from "settings" in the menu.
Title screen is the same regardless of your settings.
The UI updates that we first outlined in patch #2 are now complete as of this patch. However, we will continue to keep adjusting the UI where necessary.
Other adjustments and revisions
In the settings menu, "Movement" has been removed, based on UI changes.
Small bugs are fixed
The ability to rebind buttons for controllers, keyboard and mouse has unfortunately been delayed and will instead be added in patch #5, which is due to be released in late July.
As there are a number of mini games in Chrono Trigger that require player input based on the names of controller buttons, we need to take some time to adjust the game rules and key binding feature to work with all of these. We apologise for any inconvenience caused, but please keep an eye out for the next update.
Thanks again from everyone on the CHRONO TRIGGER team for all of your support
