Was going on a vacation tomorrow and my fucking Grande Punto stopped working. Motherfucker.

It won't start, I can't push the breaks and the power steering is dead. Just drove my friend home, got back to my parking lot. Parked turned it off and I remembered to check the break lights and the fucker striked on me.

Probably blown fuse or battery cable went bust as lights and other minor electrical stuff works.

I Am Disappoint Crying or Very sad

you should be able to push the breaks, but you wont have the brake boost. same goes for the steering, that wont work if the engine is off

just check the fuses, where is the problem?

btw: in german fiat means "fehler in allen teilen", which means fault in every part Wink

Steering works but it's hard to turn the wheels unfortunately I wasn't able to push the breaks. I will check the fuses tomorrow morning and get a hold with my mechanic.

So the fucker finally did it. The body comp went haywire, mechs don't want to fix it and in authorized service this shit cost half of the current value of the car... And we still have 2/3 of credit to pay for this PoS.

It was an used car but apparently it is Grande Punto 200K km maladetto edition because it mostly stays in workshop. Tbh my next car should be Fiat too because by now I know everything that can break in one.

That sucks VonMisk, hope you can still find a way to fix the silly beast (possibly without needing to sell any organs). The Grande Punto is a lottery when it comes to..anything that stops functioning really, solid engine but coupled with the thrills of gambling. Razz

As far as I know, Fiat (well, FCA or whatever it's called these days) have recently-ish improved things with their more modern Panda/Fiat 500 lines, but the materials and assembly can still leave to be desired, I think they just like to keep the memes alive.

Yup, the Agnelli family is officially still running both these days, albeit on a different name: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Exor_(company)
I'm not fond of them to be honest, aside from their antics the company also recently made some questionable decisions in terms of investments (including the use of public financing in order to reinvest it outside the country) which have caused unneeded instability. They even moved the entire firm to Amsterdam "to simplify all the operations" (in reality though it's because they wanted to pay less taxes Cool Face)

TBH I like the design of the car and how spacious it feels inside but it is a first line of GP's and when I bought it had already 185K km on the clock so faults were expected but to be honest not to the point of being in workshop every single month and slowly fixing everything that isn't the engine.
The sad part is I really wanted to take care of the little fucker and slowly renovate it but it just isn't giving back and instead I have a fault lottery.

Anyway gona take it to have a second opinion in other workshop and if they can't do it than authorized workshop it is. Atleast they said it will be 250€ cheaper than I estimated.

But I think I will sell it with a loss or change it to this small penis owner car:

Or take a closer look at consumer leasing for Seat Ibiza with more powerful engine.
