My condolences.
You can prepare yourself mentally for weeks or months but when it comes down to it, you're standing there thinking "this is the last time I'll be seeing him alive" and it hits you like a truck.
A month and a half ago, it was my grandmother who had cancer and we visited her one last time the day before she got euthanized due to being in horrible pain without relief. And instead of talking to her, me and my brother just sat there, because it felt like nothing we would say would matter in a moment like that. What do you say to someone who knows life will end soon?

My condolences... Mine was a piece of shit and I still felt some sort of remorse or something along those lines. I can't imagine how hurtful this can be for you...

He had a weak heart. Since he was suffering we (the family) decided to give him some morphine and a sleeping drug and at that point stop the medication. Most importantly Noradrenaline that kept his heart going. After that it was over in 40 minutes.
In the past he had triple bypass surgery, kept him going for another 17 years. Great, but the last 10 years he was severely demented.

If he wants to introduce her to a baseball bat I think that is clear.
