Hi,

I know there are multiple topics about mices but they are too general and i'm too lazy to read 15 pages just for this question...

As some of you know I'm a Mac user, but I'm looking for any mouse, even if it's supposed to be PC only : I can't bear the Magic Mouse from Apple, and that's why I had been using this : http://www.clubic.com/article-139678-3-souris-microsoft-wireless-laser-mouse-6000-v2-7000.html (microsoft wireless laser mouse 7000) which is one of the most comfortable mouse to me.

Sadly the scroll wheel died, and I bought a Microsoft Sculp Ergonomic Mouse thinking it would be comfortable, and as a fan of MS Mices in general (even my good old PS2 mouse was a Microsoft Intellimouse, Loved it !)...

But it's not comfortable at all, height it too important, too bulky, no place to rest my last fingers, grasping is too straight... I'd rather have something that have your wrist angled by 45° or so...

Seems like Microsoft stopped making such mices, and I can't find any that would be as good as my old ones, even at Logitech..

I want it to be Wireless if possible, I don't plan on gaming much either, I just want something comfortable. I saw the G602 seems to be perfect but I'm not sure and it's a bit expensive, has many buttons and I don't need a gaming mice... But would get it if you guys think it would be perfect...

Any tips ?

Thanks

TLDR ; My Microsoft Wireless Laser Mouse 7000 died, I want something similar and comfortable. Please advise. Thanks

deathadder (elite is the latest iteration), last good mouse ms "build" was the habu as successor to the intelli mouse explorer 3.0 ("build" cause they simply took the razer body and tech and put their name on it)

Advice about mice actually seems very individual. My suggestion for you would be to into a store and try some out and see how they feel in your hand.
Just because my castor fits me doesn't mean it would be good for you.

There was a time Razer was fucking awesome. My Diamondback is 11 years old and still going. The original Deathadder was amazing but shortly after that they went to shit with quality, but the comfort level is still there.

I use Corsair at the moment after wanting to try some alternative to Logitech which I used heavily before, L. was pretty good though so nothing against them even if Setpoint was far from ideal for the software they used though build quality and things like comfort and all that has varied heavily from one model to another even for "higher-end" mice and keyboard or other devices, some are good and some are bad and most get discontinued really quickly though they make a lot so stock is usually available even for older hardware. Smile

Same goes for Corsair too, with a bit of de-dusting and light cleaning and maintenance work (Finger fat be gone. Razz ) it holds up pretty well, their Corsair Utility Engine (CUE) software could definitively do with some more work though even with the current non-beta 2.11.115 version.
(It's more like finger oil secretion or some such but yeah, that and dust and you're usually OK if you keep it under control though the LED thingies on the Corsair keyboards used to have a fairly short life span, even less if you used the lower brightness "dimmer" modes.)

EDIT: As for sensor and all that stuff that's way above my knowledge level although some sensors are regarded as superior to others (Don't overdo the whole DPI sensitivity thing though.) whereas others are a bit finicky.

The G700 series was fucking perfect for my hand and grip.

Too bad the build quality itself was shit, like with most Logitech mice.

Yes, saw some nce stuff from corsair recently. Steelseries might also be another alternative other than logitech.

Anything but recent razer stuff

Thanks for the tips... Can't find G400 anymore and the MX Master is just too expensive I think for such mouse. I mean i have no need for a tank... 50 euros sounds fair enough though, not 80 euros..

G602 seems like a nice G400 replacement and is 60 euros.... ? But comfortable..

Gonna look at Corsair's then but they don't seem to be wireless at all, Razer seems a no-no for me too, I have looked at them and they don't seem comfortable.

Keep going, i really want smthg similar to that MS mice I linked.

Be careful with g602. You might not like 2 additional button on the left mouse button. They don't leave much space to rest index finger

Just read the other topic a little, I see KC is thinking the same as me with G602 and MX Master...

I also think I should rely on asking JackQ (Laughing) because I see he is using 2 mices that seem good for me too : MX anywhere and the MX performance... The MX Performance one looks sexy and kinda like the Microsoft one I had....

Jack, is it good to rest the RIGHT side of the hand too ?

I'm afraid all these buttons hurt my fingers.

I just need a back/forward button... KC highlighted the fact that this can be troublesome specially since there are buttons on the left button (?!?!?)...

I think I need to try it before...

Yes, you should try them out in a shop or something so that you can see how they fit in your palm...
