Check my rig at the sig

Suddenly my PC became very slow at startup, from 30-40 secs since i pushed the power button to desktop to more than a minute.

Formatted and updated my BIOS in the way. When done, my keyboard (logitech g510 for more than 5 years) wouldnt respond to the American whatever setup part (press F1). Used a buddys cheap wireless logitch KB and worked. Even BIOS access. However, if i plug my G510 and head to Windows 7 only mouse works!.. The KB seemed to not work even if lighted up, but gotta double check again in a few hours..

I need to instalñ the USB drivers in Windows 7 from the CD of ASUS but when i tried it froze at a moment. Might have to make windows legal again yarrr way and install drivers separately.

Sorry but i am typimg from phone...

Is there anything i can do to recover my KB and how my system works?.. might have to end up buying a new z170 mobo or keyboard but my G510 os precious..

Thx in advance

Are there USB-related settings in the BIOS? Assuming the keyboard works in the BIOS lol

Legacy is enabled n all usb ports enabled.

I can access the bios using non gaming keyboards like the partners logitech simple kB ive mentioned but not with the g510

Perhaps since i have updated the bios it made the KB not to work?.. Any way to go to an older version?

I installed the cd drivers from asus and the kb works in W7. However it wont go to the BIOS...

Remember. I cant access the BIOS with this KB anymore. I am thinking of getting a new MB and never touch the BIOS again unless there is a solution to fix this.

I could go tomorrow to the shop and get a new one and get this off my head but if there is a non cost way that would help

besides not being able to access the bios, anything else is wrong? If it's just that I'd leave it alone...

Had access to the BIOS by disconnecting all HDDs n SSDs... But the keyboard doesnt works, only the mouse

I just want to recover it.. Even if i have to buy another MB. What if i want to format and all?.. BOOM....

I give up

try the keyboard in a different computer, see if the same problem happens.
You did say a different keyboard in your computer worked fine, it really points to a keyboard problem. It may be a great KB but it is 5 years old...

But the KB i have , the G510, works on my W7, so it's all about the BIOS, and can't downgrade since it's in a 3### version, so i've read ebfore trying.

I have a question. If i get the same MB, will it have the same initial BIOS like mine had from 2015, instead of having the updated one as for today?

What about the Z170 PRO GAMING AURA?..Would the initial BIOS release (no update ofcourse) means the G510 would work inmediatly?.. Though this last one got released on 2016 while mine is from 2015

PS: Yes, i love my G510 too much and i can't live without it's LCD informing me of e-mails etc...

My suggestion: Be practical.
If your keyboard works on windows and the only problem is with the BIOS, keep it that way, dont buy or change anything. If you ever need to change something on the bios use a different keyboard.

Why go to the trouble of buying a new motherboard?
