Hulu has set a Friday, May 17th premiere date for all six episodes of event series “Catch-22” from producers George Clooney and Grant Heslov. They’ve also released the first trailer which you can see below.
Luke Davies (“Lion”) and David Michod (“The Rover”) pen the series based on the seminal Joseph Heller novel about a US Air Force bombardier in World War II dealing with a hilariously sinister bureaucratic rule. Christopher Abbott, Kyle Chandler, George Clooney, Hugh Laurie, Rafi Gavron, Kevin J. O’Connor and Julie Ann Emery co-star.
Thought it was mediocre, good enough if you don't have anything or want a filler. Just nothing special. Think they could have executed it better and the comments from the book readers I read afterwards seems to mostly think the same.
Finished yesterday, boy, so many missed moments. Aesthetically a hit and miss, some things looked good, but others, such as the moments in the cockpit and the all identical flak, looked horrible. Story wise there wasn't much. For me it's a 6/10 at best.
