Quote:
“Blunt Talk” will be produced by Media Rights Capital and targeted to premiere next year. Stewart will play a British newscaster, Walter Blunt, who comes to America to conquer cable news. Starz’s significant commitment to the project that was shopped to pay-TV outlets, including Netflix and Showtime, signals the cabler’s interest in building a lineup of half-hour comedies.

“In the character of Walter Blunt, Seth, Jonathan and Patrick have found the alchemy that makes a borderline alcoholic, mad-genius-Brit the man you want fighting in America’s corner,” Starz CEO Chris Albrecht said. “Seth and Jonathan have struck the right balance between biting wit and outright absurdity in building this world, and we cannot wait for Patrick to breathe life into Walter.”

Colour me excited. Just a shame about the wait!

Macfarlane has let me down in his ventures outside Family Guy. I don't think he's versatile enough for humour outside of retarded animated characters, violence and slapstick.

Nothing wrong with those, Family Guy is one of my favourite shows, but ...

*slaps a giant +1 on your post* Razz
Precisely. I think he's just, well too "limited" to experiment with something different from the usual, which is a shame. Once he leaves the comfort area, the magic doesn't work anymore.

For some reason people seem to like the various Teds though, so unfortunately he won't stop anytime soon :<

This one looks interesting, here's hoping the gool ol' Patrick can carry the show. Very Happy

I tend to agree too, although I liked Ted a fair bit.

Granted you may be right, but come on I'll be fucked if we won't at least try this Smile

Alas, the writing appears to be on the weak side, but I'll reserve my judgement till I've seen more episodes. Gangsta #yolo Patrick is great though Smile Laughing

The folks who've seen more of it say you gotta stick with it. Apparently it gets super better.

I laughed out loud a lot during ep1 so clearly it's gonna work for me Smile

Aw, this season's finale definitely did feel like some sort of closure, and given the low ratings I'm not surprised. 'Twas a nice timewaster till it lasted, I regret nothing xD
