What can I do to protect myself without too much of a hassle? There is a release that I want to download, but it's on a public tracker (still not on Usenet :'( ) and I don't want my bum raped. Thx.

If it's not too large ( <10 GB), I can download it and send you encrypted via Dropbox or something. If nothing else, noone gives two shits about torrenting here.

4G connection?
Is it really that much of an issue there if you download something with torrent?

Then you want a VPN.
TWIN PEAKS is "something of a miracle."

"a phenomenon."

Yes, but in the case of a public tracker, as he mentioned, a VPN probably makes more sense.

I might actually be able to help you out there, my dedicated server has been unused for a while now but is paid till next year.
You could torrent into it and then DL the files directly from there yourself. I have done so in the past for a friend who can't use torrents at all due to school interwebs.
As long as you don't fill the whole HDD up with shit, it's like 2TB or something.

Have people in Germany been fined just for leeching torrents? Here in Norway there have only been a few cases where uploaders/or the person who added the torrent to the site have been fined. It was even unclear if popcorn time was legal here or not, while in other countries it actually got consequences for the users.
