Humans, a new science fiction drama co-created by Channel 4 and American network AMC (the network behind Breaking Bad and Mad Men) and written by Spooks scribes Sam Vincent and Jonathan Brackley, is set in a parallel present, where the latest must-have gadget for any busy family is a Synth – a highly-developed robotic servant eerily similar to its live counterpart. In the hope of transforming the way they live, one strained suburban family purchases a refurbished Synth only to discover that sharing life with a machine has far-reaching and chilling consequences
Humans stars Oscar-winner William Hurt (A History of Violence, Damages), Katherine Parkinson (The IT Crowd, The Honourable Woman), Tom Goodman-Hill (The Devil’s Whore, Mr Selfridge), Colin Morgan (Merlin, The Fall), Rebecca Front (The Thick Of It, Just William), Neil Maskell (Utopia, The Mimic) and Gemma Chan (Dates, Fresh Meat).
Well.... The the first season trailer of the original series was better. All in all I don't like what I've just seen...It seems it will be inferior to the original..
Having watched the original I'm not sure how I feel about the pilot.. It was nice overall but I don't get some changes they made compared to the source material and I don't like them. For instance, they got rid of some great characters ( Flash, Roger etc ) and basically merged some of them into one person or "replaced" with someone else.
OK. I'm 4 episodes in and I am actually enjoying this one. They've changed more than I initially thought they did.So even if you watched the original I think it is still worth watching. But the original series is better

I watched the first episode yesterday (the lack of decent movies in the summer is unbelievable) and it was ok. I'll switch to the Swedish one then. Is it easy to find the original series with english subs?
I watched this and thought it was alright, havent seen the original though

I saw things like that in here and in other "woman problems" topics so...... Am I the only one that thinks some authorities needs to be alerted about Saner and him possibly being a rapist and/or kidnapper ?
Saner is not being serious. Unless its the subject of Santa!

Afaik there are no subbed versions. You need to get hdtv or bluray version and download subs from addic7ed. If you want I could upload s01-s02 bluray version to usenet. You'll have to adjust subs manually though. Also there is a torrent on kickass that has both s01 +s02 +eng subs. Just search for real humans and sort results by size
@Saner
It is indeed alright. The latest episode was quite good
After having seen ep06 I'm again somewhat disappointed with some changes they've made..

Spoiler:
It turns out the female synth detective is just loosely based on Bea (character from the original series) and Bea was.. absolutely fantastic.. a great anti-hero\villain and it looks like they turned her into something else entirely.
- It seems they totally removed a romantic component from Leo's and Mia's relationship. In the original series they loved each other.She raised him, took care of him, saved him from drowning damaging herself in the process and when he grew up he fell in love with her as well as she did. Maybe they thought it would be too close to "mother-son" "incest" and decided to remove what some righteous viewers might perceive as controversial?
But I like what they did to Niska's character.In the original she was boring.
It seems they made this show more "family friendly"(by American standards) than the original tbh
