What do you think? No GPU and HDDs/SDDs since I already have those (1070, Evo 950 500 GB, EVO 940 120 GB, 1 TB HDD and some 120 GB Intel SSD that I forgot I even bought Laughing )

My current rig:

i5 4670
MSI 1070 GamingX
16GB DDR3 RAM @ 1600 Mhz

What makes you to upgrade?
Is there a certain game/app that runs "bad"?

I have a 4570 and it runs everything just fine. So unless you are using something that absolutely NEEDS the power of a 7700k there's no need for an upgrade (or you just have money to burn). Razz

Oh, I haven't seen your current specs.
Well, I dont think You would see that much performance gain for the money this setup costs.
Do you have a specific game/app that would benefit from that new cpu/ram combo?
If so, try to find a comparison video and do the math.

A "general" "my rig is old" upgrade is just plain stupid, brain washed thing.
Or If youre that rich that the bank phoned you that they are running out of computing power to process your account then.......upgrade the whole world! go to the moon, visit the sun etc.

I fail to see the need to upgrade as well. Whats wrong with the current setup? Seems to me you are just pissing away money for "old" components. LGA1151 is pretty much done.

Empty again Sad

if you need the ht you can upgrade, if not i would recommend to wait

and dont buy fucking 750w cpu, a decent 500w model is more than enough. and i dont know that cpu cooler, dunno, but you should go for better stuff cause z board + k board = oc Wink

Hitman runs worse than I'd like, it definitely is a CPU limitation. Same as DX:MD and some other titles, even old ones.

Why would I buy Razen which is not only more expensive, but also performs worse (in games, that is)?

Limiting factor on that system might have been the ram actually and faster could have squeezed some more juice out of it.

Is Ryzen more expensive over there? Bit surprised when you said it costs more.

As to performance that's probably down to the games. Just make sure to check the titles you play and what each performs in them. Everyone and their dog does a benchmark these days.
