Im really not made to be selfish....
This week omw to the gym on a friends car (with him) we saw two guys chasing one guy and yelling thief. I wanted to stop and chase, my friend ignored me. I tried to find a pipe or bat or the wheel lock thing... Nothing at all. So i... Let it go. I stoped mins later besides a cop to get them to report and direct help..
Afterwards i felt horrible because i didnt stop. I couldnt shake that horrible feeling off....
Now today... We have a drift show, with my car in a parking lot. A lot of people.... Then people started to walk in front of the limits and getting close to the drift area, so they stopped the show and we were gonna leave... They pushed the people back and we promised one last big show...
4 cars going around, we stop and make big smoky burnouts... Amazing. Everyone is nuts... We stop. People rushed the drift area... Event over. All is well. Then some fucking idiot in a truck (not from my group or part of the event, some guy who sneaked in the confusion) suddenly starts a burnout aiming at me.... Yeah.... No, i move my car away and go around far from it. Im turning my car off. Im getting out when i see the truck full speed ahead crashing into the huge crowd. People screaming and flying on top of the truck... The asshole started a burnout and got out of the truck while it was doing the burn out.
Get out... I see all my friends. Someone fell on one car and broke the windshield, the truck hit thr door and forced it shut (a friend could have lost a leg due to the door rollcage bars... But he jumped in to the passenger side) Someone screams one of my mates name, i rush the truck. Noone in front noone under it. I see my mate and i signal everyone to get out. 3 cars go out. And i go out. Outside its a fucking chaos... I couldnt park or stop. I had to go away. And i left some of my friends back there with their cars, one of them had to get the car in a trailer.... So i stopped far, waited anf we are all home safe...
Then im home taking a bath and i realize i knew that could happen... And i moved my car so i didnt get hit... If i had stayed there i could have stopped the truck cause it wouldnt have had momentum.... But i moved and people got hurt. I know its not my fault.... But i fukcing feel terrible that i could have avoided so many people hurt.... My car could be fixed and thats it. If someone had died i think i would be pretty broken up. If my friend had gotten hurt i would be fucking devastated....
I cant handle these ideas and thoughts. I knoe.not my fault but prevention, knowing i knew, knowing i could... Ill never fucking let them do an event without strict controls. Or ill never assist

If you convince yourself that you are not Batman and it's not your responsibility to fight crime or prevent a truck hitting people, it will be easier to avoid these feelings.

If you had a gun you could have shot him before he did any harm to anybody. Why don't you have a gun in your race car?! I think you owe everybody (including the truck driver) getting smashed by a truck for not having a gun to solve the situation 
You are not batman, be happy that you and your friends are OK, you can't be responsible for everybody else, especially not for anybodies failures.

It is stupid but it just hit me yesterday and after talking with the group im more clear headed. I do like helping people cause i would like to be helped in those situations (thief, the truck ehhhh not quite... It just shouldnt have been allowed to happen, security's fault), but yesterday it stressed me a lot because friends could have been badly hurt, comparing it with my car losing a bumper and a light had i stayed there, feels kind of worthwhile...
But oh well, im clear now. We got a lot of ideas to avoid these things in the future.
