They had taken away the black guy image off my strawberry preserve moons ago, and yet I refresh youtube just now and there is a black guy by the side of the logo.

It is not "bothering" me, I just think its strange how they remove black representations like that off other things but its ok for youtube. |

well back in the day they made a fuss about the icon on a jar being black skinned and representing a black individual. Yet youtube have it on their icon, personally if it was me I would of put a group of people on icon of varying races. I just thought it seemed odd to not just have a icon representing a person but for it to be a black person.
Or certainly to me anyhow looks that way. Unless of course they just came back from the welsh mines or something. I am sure they don't give a fuck and saw no issue with it but it still makes me wonder the colour chosen for the skin type. That is all nothing more.
If it's not discussion worthy to some then don't post and refrain from the derpy shit. Otherwise feel free to have a light hearted viewpoint on the matter. |

you see a logo with a black man.

no idea then, I posted the screeny of it in first post so you can compare to what you see? You did not mention if the logo you looked at was on your youtube page or the screenshot.
You are probably trying to be a smart ass I guess but regardless of dancing or posture the skin colour is defo dark and would not be deemed anything else but. |

i see the black man too but i didn't noticed it as "awww my gawwd there is a black man on the logo" like you. there is a man on the logo in a werid posture. thats it.
i also don't know whats so smart ass about this. it's just normal thinking.

I honestly didn't know what you were on about the first time around...
But yeah, some things are deemed racist while others are not. I always thought: maybe I need to be black to know what is or isn't... but the ones bitching are usually white so I still haven't cracked the code to their judgement.
That being said, when I look at icons or logos like that I don't really see a colour like freiwald or other people... so maybe that's also the problem. While some people see 'blackface' in certain things I just see a man or a woman or at least something that is not offensive (not that there aren't offensive things out there  ).
Doesn't help that the things some people see as offensive isn't shared by my stepfather or stepsisters whom are as dark as one could be and lived most of their life in Nigeria.
