Vampyr doesn't use Denuvo.

Business doesn't seem to go too well for Denuvo since they where bought out less and less games seem to use it these days, what was the last game with it FC5?
But i guess Irdeto has other plans for them anyway regular DRM for games isn't the business it used to be.

Where did u lot see a Souls game in these videos? Laughing even before they got released there was very little if anything at all to suggest it would be a souls game.

To be honest, I just copied the concerns of others Laughing From a previous video I've seen, it just looked very combat oriented with clunky combat to boot Very Happy
But the latest video showed that there's a lot more to it.

They have one advantage if done right. Seems cracking is so much of a hassle that crackers don't bother doing the same game more than once. Delayed start of post release dlc = profit.

Character models are kinda meh, especially the main protagonist's model. Sad

I'm surprised they look so mediocre...

I mean..it's not Witcher 3. They had to do just 60+ models...not hundreds.

Well, hundred. or whatever. Doesn't matter. The poinst still stands.

These guys clearly know how to design beautiful things..(see Remember Me world design).. Why the fuck can't they apply their skills to characters?

Well I'm fine with the models not being that visually stunning as long as the content, and by that I mean the talky talky investigation bits and not the combat, is well done.

I have a sneaky suspicion that this may have serious issues and will require a bunch of patches right after launch.

The game can already be played on PS4. The controls are clunky and so is the combat. Some annoying stuff but the story and characters seem pretty decent so far. Kinda feels like a cheaper version of Dishonored.

Well hopefully the story and characters will be fun. I have little hope outside of the investigation / talking bits so I won't mind awful combat too much.

Well, let's not downplay it: awful combat IS a problem. Yes, the investigation / dialogue bits are far more important, but if and when you need to fight and it's shite, then that ruins the experience.

It's not terrible but not the best either. Lots of dialogues and story stuff. The game world is not that big but there are various districts, each with it's own civilians etc. You can spare/kill anyone. You can also do one more thing but I won't spoil it. (though so far it's been specific and only on one person). People can also LIE to you, you gotta figure that out yourself.

Not killing any civilian makes the game hard since you get the most XP from that, regular mobs don't give that much when you kill them. There are side quests and optional bosses.

Also each district has it's own "health" level and if that goes too low the district goes into chaos and stuff and more dangerous mobs start to roam, there are more of them etc.

Crafting seem to be prominent.

I've never particularly liked D tbh... I always wanted a new Thief game...

I prefer V's setting and design+ it has vampires! We'll see if the story is better here...

Oh I'm not downplaying. Yes I can see combat being a problem, I'm just saying that I personally wouldn't mind because I'm more into things for the talking bits.

Like how I played Deadfire on the 2nd difficulty level as I find combat in those games kinda meh (though not as tedious as POE), and just played it for the talking bits. Sadly the Deadfire main story turned out to be pure shit. Rest of the game is great, main story is just shit. Factions are kinda shitty too.

The combat is really, really clunky but the worst part is the respawning enemies. Save at a save room and they just respawn back with full health. Laughing

1 and 2 are still amazing.

Sounds good H4wkeye, thanks for the first impressions. How's the character development, I assume you unlock skills/perks but do you get to choose or do you automatically level up and get new stuff, or how does it work exactly?
