http://us.hardware.info/reviews/5835/spot-the-differences-gigabyte-motherboard-revisions-present-markedly-different-test-results
so gigabyte has been downgrading (literally removing stuff like dualbios) on budget boards but it also seems on some off the medium class boards /sigh can't trust anything anymore these days T.T

everyone is doing it. for example Asus GTX780 on release date had quality Samsung DDR5 memory chips (all reviewers ofcourse had good samsung memory samples), but later down the line they started using cheapo piece of shit Hynix memory that doesn't over clock for shit.
at least gigabyte always has separate page for each product revision so you can check and compare pics and specs.

Its a bad practice, but its also why it always takes me that much time to buy components since you have to be extra careful all the time.
"Enlightenment is man's emergence from his self-imposed nonage. Nonage is the inability to use one's own understanding without another's guidance. This nonage is self-imposed if its cause lies not in lack of understanding but in indecision and lack of courage to use one's own mind without another's guidance. Dare to know! (Sapere aude.) "Have the courage to use your own understanding," is therefore the motto of the enlightenment."

Man, dualBIOS is one of the best reasons to get their stuff and they remove it?

Fucking cheapass scammers. Now I'm gonna be afraid about buying a product that doesn't correspond to the reviews I've fucking read?
I used to respect Gigabyte as a company.

toni seems they mostly did it on budget crap and rgb they didn't make a new page about it that's what's fishy about the whole thing they used the exact same codes as rev 1 for the rest etc

I know it was for me, along with SLI and the 1150 audio codec versus xfire support only and 892 audio on all the other brands for the same price point.

and the dual bios was awesome
tho yeah after all that i'm really inclined to give either asus or msi a new shot

Way I'm looking at it, I understand why there's a fiasco but in my experience, that dual bios is magical if you're overclocking and your shit goes haywire. If you're buying some budget crap, I highly doubt you'll be planning on doing any decent OC on it. The other side of the coin though, just how much money and time are they saving by not putting them on the board to warrant them not putting them on.

Dual BIOS is for failures during BIOS flashing (so it can boot from the secondary BIOS), not for overclock problems. For that, you just reset it via jumper.

If they want to release a revised board, then they should use a different model number.

as long as gigabyte is maitaining specs/revision on their product page, i dont see why this is a big deal. is not like they are trying to scam you.
problem is when shops dont tell you what revision you buy. which is not gb fault. (i have an asus now becasue i got it at half price, but i usually buy gb.).
