I think I'll go with Divinity: Original Sin for this one.
Wasteland 2 was good as well but I haven't gotten very far into the game yet.
(Same with Lords of Xulima though that should be a really good game as well when I do get a chance to progress further with it and finally there's Grimrock II which is a really nice dungeon romp but not as in-depth though still a lot of fun.)

Wasteland 2, Haven't gotten around D:OS. Lords of Xulima is also high on my list
Liked this year a lot for RPG's!
Somehow I think DA:I is going to have a lot of votes, after all it's the Mcdonalds of the RPG's

Wasteland 2, with Divinity being a very, very close second.

Divinity: Original Sin and South Park: The Stick of Truth.
The way I see it, every life is a pile of good things and bad things. The good things don’t always soften the bad things, but vice versa, the bad things don’t always spoil the good things and make them unimportant.

Wasteland 2, D:OS is better in a lot of regards but the story disappeared halfway through the game.

Child of light? Diablo 3? wut?
Anyways.. damn.. it's a tough call.. so many good RPGs released in 2014..
1) Wasteland 2
2) DOS (it's VERY close to W2.. the only downside for me is the setting and too much humor).
3) Dark Souls 2
4) Lords of Xulima
5) Legends of Grimrock 2
6) DAI
7) MMx
Child of light
9) D3
1) Lenovo Legion 7 (AMD Ryzen 7 5800H, RTX 3080 16Gb, 32Gb DDR4, SSD 1TB +2TB
2) SFFPC (streaming via Moonlight+ Sunshine)

D:OS
"Enlightenment is man's emergence from his self-imposed nonage. Nonage is the inability to use one's own understanding without another's guidance. This nonage is self-imposed if its cause lies not in lack of understanding but in indecision and lack of courage to use one's own mind without another's guidance. Dare to know! (Sapere aude.) "Have the courage to use your own understanding," is therefore the motto of the enlightenment."

Divinity: Original Sin for me. Wasteland 2 was good too, but it had some flaws I can't forgive - at least not in a GOTY.

How I am the first to vote on Dark Souls 2 ?
Sure it's not as good as 1 but its still a great game
3080 | ps5 pro
Sin317-"im 31 years old and still surprised at how much shit comes out of my ass actually ..."
SteamDRM-"Call of Duty is the symbol of the true perfection in every aspect. Call of Duty games are like Mozart's/Beethoven's symphonies"
deadpoetic-"are you new to the cyberspace?"

Oh, and BTW, aside from South Park, Shadowrun: Dragonfall is missing from the list too - Returns premiered last year, but the miles better expansion launched in January/February if I'm not mistaken.

I would not call DS/DS2 an RPG. There are no real roles to play. It's more of an adventure game like the last tomb raider IMO.

RoS.
In terms of the time i have put into the game, only the Football Manager series and EVE beats that, and i still think RoS is fun to play.
Lots of games on my HDD waiting to be played - a few of those in the poll - and yet RoS keep me from playing them.
