2. Download the Project Spark Beta app on the Windows Store here.
3. Launch the Project Spark Beta App and log in with your Beta Key
I got my key today and tried this...thing...for about an hour, had 6 crashes, buggy UI and shit performance in general.
Those who aren't creative enough to build an experience can simply play what others have made. Now I'm not sure on how everything works yet but there's some 30 minutes timer if you try to play "things" which use materials you yourself don't own. It's global but gets reset after some time so it's that typical free to play time restricted mobile gaming bullshit I despise. Aaaaand that's it so far for first impressions.
Anyone else tried it? I couldn't find a thread despite it being announced way back at E3 2013

I run W8.1 anyway but since I completely disabled UAC I can't use Windows Store
Yeah the app section (Marketplace included.) doesn't work at all if you have that admin approval mode disabled, I thought that would be improved with 8.1 but it seems it remains unchanged.
But if someone interested I have a key...I mean, I was VERY interested in the project for a while, until I heard that wincrap 8.1 was a requirement. Then I suddenly realized I forgot where I stashed all the fucks I would give in case.
So yeah, open for trading. PM me.

Don't get the hate for w8.1 or w8. I had mixed feelings as well before i actually tried it but it's so much faster and better than w7 in every single way except the UI which you can change if it bothers you.
O well.
Main PC : I7 12700, MSI Ventus RTX 4090 24gb, Alienware AW3423DW QD-OLED
Laptop : I5 4200H @ 3400mhz boost, GTX 850m 2gb Vram DDR3, 4gb RAM DDR3
Derpsole : Playstation 5 disc edition, Ninty Switcherino
TV+audio: LG CX 65" / Sonos ARC + SL ones + Sonos sub 3
VR Headset: Meta quest 2 airlinked
I figured I'd give this a quick check, see what it was like. I'm not impressed so far... as said above; it's basically just a bunch of dumb, low quality, mini games with a few snippets of "Project Spark version of Game X" remakes every so often. Framerate is awful too, locked at 30fps judging by how it feels and I can't figure out how to unlock it. Also, I logged in with the wrong account and now I can't log out and use my ACTUAL one
If anyone knows how to switch user in Spark, please let me know. I don't use an internet login on Windows 10 and on the Xbox app I'm logged in as my CORRECT account.
~edit~
Uninstalling and reinstalling Spark finally triggered it asking for account info, so I could sign in with the correct one
