At 1080p, on Ultra preset, with motion-blur off, AA set to 2xTXAA, SSAO and Tessellation maxed I get anywhere up to 130 FPS, with the average being around 60-80 FPS, and in the Illuminati HQ it dips down to single digits!
Rig is in my sig. Hope that somewhat helps.
Again, performance is SHIT on the DX11 client compared to DX9 (no TXAA, SSAO, or Tesselation usable in DX9 client though).
I can never be free, because the shackles I wear can't be touched or be seen.

BTW, for those of you who have problems with serious stuttering, try limiting your framerate somehow. I used Dxtory to cap mine at 40 and the game is now almost smooth as a butter on DX11. There are some small drops on occasion and Agartha still lags, but it's nowhere near as bad as it previously was. Changing to DX9 helps somewhat too, but I really didn't want to lose tesselation and ambient occlusion, since they make the world so much more alive.

| Quote: | Hey everyone!
I’d like to take a moment and apologize for the extended downtime on Sunday, and the frequent downtimes due to patches this week. After yesterday’s downtime the Exchange and Auction House are now open and functioning properly. Thank you very much for your patience and understanding while we got these issues sorted.
We are committed to keeping the amount and duration of downtimes we have on Secret World Legends to a minimum. This past week we have not met that standard so we would like to extend compensation to all players that had an active account before the last downtime on June 29th. For everyone eligible when you log into your account you will have the following bonuses in your Delivered Items inventory:
• 25 AP
• 25 SP
• 10,000 Marks of Favour
• 4,000 Anima Shards
• Superior (Blue) Talisman Fusion Catalyst
There are a few details/restrictions on these items. The compensation items can only be claimed by 1 character on your account. In addition, they must be claimed within 7 days of this post.
Also, due to an issue with AP and SP caps we will be temporarily increasing the caps from 50 to 150. This will remain in effect until we fix a bug that can cause AP and SP to reset to the current cap (in this case, 150). In the meantime, don’t go above the 150 cap!
Thank you to everyone that has joined us for launch week. It has been an amazing week and we are incredibly happy to see so many people playing Secret World Legends! |

Here's what you can expect to see added this summer:
OUT NOW!
ELITE DUNGEONS
On Wednesday, July 5th we have introduced to Secret World Legends our new Elite dungeons, with scaling difficulty. Try out those new challenges with a group of five players, comprised of a tank, healer and damage classes. Choose one of the 10 levels of difficulty, and reap the rewards accordingly.
JULY
CONTINUATION OF THE STORY MISSION
Return to Transylvania in this Secret Agent themed storyline. Including deep intrigue and high-speed snowmobile chases throughout the Carpathian Fangs, you will meet new characters and experience first-hand a chain of events with massive repercussions on the world.
JULY / AUGUST
SPECIAL EVENT: THE WHISPERING TIDE
Following the recent events, the Filth is now pouring into pristine Agartha, and is threatening the world tree itself. You must find a way to turn the tide back and protect Agartha from the Filth and its guardians. Only once the battle has been won will you be able to enter Tokyo in search of answers.
AUGUST
NNER KAIDAN (TOKYO)
Explore the quarantined city of Tokyo and meet brand new characters. Battle against never seen before enemies as you take on this new chapter of the main story mission. In this huge district, plagued by ghosts, demonic Oni mercenaries, corrupted Orochi cyborgs, and hundreds of Filth infected citizens, many mysteries await.
LAIR MEGA-BOSSES
The Lairs are challenging outdoor areas, filled with dangerous enemies, that can be found in every playfield. In there you will perform occult rituals to summon powerful bosses.
With this update, you will be able to partake in the final, biggest rituals directly performed in Agartha, where you will summon massive bosses that can be defeated with up to 40 players and earn powerful Signet rewards.

tried DX11 and if i remember correctly it was running better on my older PC setup.
30 fps with few players around in Agartha, CPU usage at that time 45%, 60% on GPU.
Does it even support multicore at all? and that hitching everytime i move somewhere, like it's unloading and loading textures again, damn shame.

Tessellation was one of the biggest disappointments to ever come to DX. In almost every game that uses it, you'll almost never notice it being used. It adds a little more dimension to textures but you only notice it when you stop and try to find it. Turn that shit off. It also was known to do shit on textures you can't even see like stuff that was under water so it fucked performance.

| Aquma wrote: | It's hard to judge, the game can be pretty temperamental. My rig is only an i5-4460, 8 gb ram plus an 1060 and an SSD drive. I get around 30-60 frames. Usually it's in the 40-50 range, but in some locations it slows down to 30s, with a little bit of weird stutter here and there. That's in DX11 with everything but AA and motion blur maxed out.
*edit* On 1080p that is. |
There was a problem on the side of my rig, connected to the PC not taking full advantage of CPU because of an old BIOS (most probably). I updated it on a whim not knowing about it and I gained between 20-30 FPS in every game I tried (yeah, as you can probably imagine I'm feeling pretty happy right now ), including SWL. So the game now runs at around 5x-8x, with very occasional dips to 4x and rare, very slight stutter (it's no more annoying than in any given open world game). Usually feels smooth as butter. That's on 1080p ultra, full tesselation and ambient occlusion, but with FXAA instead of TXAA (TXAA looks like shit, really, I just can't stand it).
Still having a lot of fun with it. Egypt zones are a huge change. Not as fun and atmospheric as Solomon Island, to be honest, but that Allahu Akbar vibe has it's own charm too, I suppose. Really curious about Transylvania Wonderful game, really. Can't even remember the last time something gave my brain this much of a workout. If there even was one, because honestly, these investigations are pretty demanding and sick - in a good way These quests require you to completely change how you approach gaming and exploration, and that's not even an overstatement. You really have to be very careful, you have to notice details and remember them. You also have to leave your mind open and not expect the game to hand you every clue and tool - some of them might not even be present inside the f..king game Not saying anything more than that, it's something everyone needs to experience on their own (or with a group of friends) without spoilers. My face must have been pretty funny at times, I'll say that much
Great storytelling too, at times. Some characters are surprisingly fun to listen to. Loved the humour in the Innsmouth Academy, very good dialogue writing. And Tyler Freeborn. Holy shit
