I'm having some problems with employment.
Some buildings just don't seem to get any long term workers. I have a load of unemployed citizens with 30-30-30-10 per cent distribution between education levels.
Still, some buildings that require them just don't get workers and my economy and development is struggling. Especially in the mission where you have to do tons of research.

Wow, costumes...
And to think that Total Biscuit wanted those so much
I'm glad they fixed the contracts and rebuild construction bugs, they were getting annoying, especially when you see an awesome trade contract, add a ship and it instantly expires.

Started playing this Tropico only yesterday, and I'm liking the changes so far, with the era/research system that adds a unique challenge with the planning across multiple time periods. Some early quests perhaps have a bit too much hand-holding for my tastes, it's okay though since it should get more challenging later on (as usual). Combat is simplistic, but does its job fine considering the genre.
"Nepotism" is an interesting feature albeit a tad underdeveloped, finally the bank account comes useful..for the family! Trade routes are pleasant too. Shame about some stuff that was left out (noticed less buildings for example, smells like DLCs incoming ).
- Multiplayer: Added save/load game feature (matches are saved to all players locally and re-synced upon load)

- Coups and Uprisings no longer happen during the Colonial Era
- Modernization of Coffee and Cotton Plantations, Llama Ranches now restore upgrades correctly
- Various tweaks and improvements to controller input
- Depleted deposits display ruin piles to signify that the location is not suitable for construction
- Stray llama herd spotted in subway ¨C situation is under control!
The Big Cheese DLC is out, too, free for pre-orders, 3 euro for the rest.

Tropico 5's first major expansion 'Waterborne' will launch on PC via Steam next Wednesday, December 17 priced £14.99, Kalypso has announced.
The expansion sees El Presidente attempting to extend his reign into the sea, taking advantage of lucrative new industrial opportunities by constructing waterborne structures along the coast.
Included in the expansion are the first water-based game mechanics in the history of the series, such as water traffic, larger coastal areas and new events.
Players will also be able to build new off-shore alternatives for defence, food, energy, entertainment and housing.
The expansion's new campaign offers six scenarios, new dialogue and story. All new content also works with existing sandbox maps and multiplayer modes.
