Looks like what Oliver "suggested" is what is being implemented. What a shock that Oliver is black, eh? Had it been a WHITE kid in the art, nobody would have said a fucking word, and that's a fact. He denies it being a case of "white guilt" but that's exactly what it is, he kicked up a fuss because it was a black child being put alongside the insinuation of poverty - it wasn't even that it was a child being "set on fire" it was just the poverty stuff. Had it been a white child? We wouldn't be having this conversation, just like we didn't have it over the Bioshock and Fallout art. Some days, it really fucking sucks to be a white male - because you're hated by everyone it seems, forced into guilt over something I have neither done nor have any control over; my birth. Hated by internet feminist brigade for having a penis and coerced into guilt for being white. Fuck you internet.

The question is, you really want to save? Most paths usually last less than ten minutes.
Do you really need to play for three minutes, quit game and check facebook, play for three minutes, quit game and watch porn, play three minutes and finish?

I think they've hidden the option to make people play full sessions. Following the narrator's line of thought without quitting the game halfway though is rather essential to the experience.

First off, what the fuck?

- I didn't know each ending took less than 10 minutes.
- The first ending I got was the one where the narrator restarts the game multiple times, and let me tell you, that easily took more than ten minutes. And it gave me the impression that it was a shorter type of ending.
- I don't have a Facebook-account, so no.

Even if I had to "quit the game and watch porn" after three minutes, I'll play the game whatever damn way I please, thank you very much.

To cheer you up: if you and a black and latino guy would stand beside each other holding AirSoft gun replicas, you would be shot last by the police.
At least that something.

The problem is white males became white sissies and have this kinds of problems about what some idiots, or penis-jealous 'women' think.

Indeed, same for me. Without indies my gaming year would have been even more disappointing. They made it more bearable Razz

Hopefully the 2014 will be full of greatness, at least until they decide to delay the best games to 2015. Laughing

http://www.pcgamer.com/the-stanley-parable-has-sold-over-1-million-units/

Quote:

It says a lot about the good health of games when The Stanley Parable, a strange narrative-driven adventure with origins in the modding community, can sell over 1 million copies. Developer Davey Wreden revealed the sales figure on Twitter earlier this week. "A few years ago no one had any idea who I was," he wrote. "Today The Stanley Parable has sold a million copies. Thank you."

The last we heard of the game's sales progress, it had shifted 100,000 units in its first week. PC Gamer's Phil Savage described it as "effortlessly inventive, frequently surprising and consistently hilarious" upon release, later naming it as his game of the year.

Originally a Source Engine mod, The Stanley Parable released as a standalone title on Steam in 2013.

Well deserved if you ask me Smile I only wish other exceptional indie games like Antichamber and The Swapper got this kind of sale figures as well.

I actually just recently grabbed this, it was on the past week's Steam sale for something like 66% off.

This game left such a lasting impression on me when I first played it (yarr ) that I figured why the hell not, they deserve something. I'm pretty sure I got nowhere near all the endings either. Might go play it now! Very Happy

The Stanley Parable designer releases free game The Temple of No
Quote:
The Stanley Parable designer William Pugh released the second free game at his new studio Crows Crows Crows. The first, if you don't remember, was the gloriously titled first-person adventure Dr. Langeskov, The Tiger, and The Terribly Cursed Emerald: A Whirlwind Heist. This latest title, The Temple of No, is a Twine-based text adventure about a frog.

Well, it could be about a frog anyway. This text adventure asks players to choose between three protagonists: a man, a woman, and a frog. It's difficult to say much about without going into spoilers, suffice to say it's a globetrotting expedition about treasure hunting. As one would expect from the designer of The Stanley Parable and Dr. Langeskov, The Tiger, and The Terribly Cursed Emerald: A Whirlwind Heist, there's plenty of fourth wall-breaking humour in this experimental romp.

You can give The Temple of No a go on Crows Crows Crows' itch.io page.

Crows Crows Crows is still developing a big secret game. "We've been toiling away on it for almost two years now, so very soon we're going to be telling you more about it!" Pugh said in an email to Eurogamer.

This one just popped up:
https://store.steampowered.com/app/1703340/The_Stanley_Parable_Ultra_Deluxe/

Quote:
What's New?

Everything that was in the original Stanley Parable is here, preserved just like it was back in 2013. But The Stanley Parable: Ultra Deluxe also dramatically expands the world of the original game with new content, new choices, and new secrets to uncover. The labyrinth has just gotten bigger.

In addition, the game has been visually upgraded to reflect modern technology while faithfully preserving the tone of the original game. Accessibility features have also been added to the game, including localization of in-world text, colorblind options, and content warnings.
