actually sam was the ONLY one of them that got married... shit.. the ONLY one that even showed any interest in chicks. face it, sam was the only straight one. sure as shit wasnt frodo.. not the way he dive-hugged gandalf at the start...
"Three for Fellowship, two for Towers, four for Return. -Five for Return."
"Books? What's that? With letters and shit?" "LoTR is a movies triogy 'maaaaaan' hurr durr"
Anyway, there is really very little reason to buy this set if you have the DVDs already (unless you are an avid believer of double dipping. 1080p rips with no split for me.
WHY the fuck did they have to fuck up the new Blu-Ray disc release as well?
I mean quality seems pretty good overall, but why the hell add a green tint? It is pretty noticable in screenshots... You probably wouldn't really be bothered while watching, but still I prefer the old colors...
This is nothing that keeps me from downloading the releases, but I'd never pay money for that...
I just got this and hrm,,i dont understand the idea behind extended edition, return of the king lasts 4 hours and 30 minutes? while others last 3 hours and 30 minutes also?
I wanted to do a marathon today but it would take me 10 hoours to watch them all?
were the original version so long also? its been so long since I watched it
It will take you almost 12 hours to watch the extended, actually.
But what you don't understand? They are home-video versions of the films, which you can stop at any time and resume effortlessly. Like all good extended editions of films, it is meant to give a broader story and character development. In this case, it brings the films a little closer to the books.
Especially in the third movie there is a drastic difference between the cinema version and the extended cut. There are a lot of unfinished story branches in the cinematic version, and also new important side stories were added that fill out plot holes. After watching the extended editions I can't imagine going back to the normal ones...
“The only way to deal with an unfree world is to become so absolutely free that your very existence is an act of rebellion.”
- Albert Camus
Bought the blueray set for extended edition and have already watched them twice. I just love them. Think i might read the books also when i am done reading the books i already have.
I wanted to grab the better quality here , need a pick
