The DVD9s have good quality for DVDs... Highly recommended.

@dingo_d @tonizito Going premium doesn't help you, if a file is removed, even premium users can't download it. Wink

70-80% off, together with 1-2 other things I wanted to buy from amazon, seemed like a good deal to me.

Anyway, there is really very little reason to buy this set if you have the DVDs already (unless you are an avid believer of double dipping. 1080p rips with no split for me. Wink

WHY the fuck did they have to fuck up the new Blu-Ray disc release as well? Crying or Very sad

I mean quality seems pretty good overall, but why the hell add a green tint? It is pretty noticable in screenshots... You probably wouldn't really be bothered while watching, but still I prefer the old colors...
This is nothing that keeps me from downloading the releases, but I'd never pay money for that...

The.Lord.Of.The.Rings.Trilogy.Extended.Ed.(2001-2003).1080p.BluRay.DTS-ES.x264.D-Z0N3

I just got this and hrm,,i dont understand the idea behind extended edition, return of the king lasts 4 hours and 30 minutes? while others last 3 hours and 30 minutes also?

I wanted to do a marathon today but it would take me 10 hoours to watch them all?

were the original version so long also? its been so long since I watched it

It will take you almost 12 hours to watch the extended, actually.
But what you don't understand? They are home-video versions of the films, which you can stop at any time and resume effortlessly. Like all good extended editions of films, it is meant to give a broader story and character development. In this case, it brings the films a little closer to the books.

Especially in the third movie there is a drastic difference between the cinema version and the extended cut. There are a lot of unfinished story branches in the cinematic version, and also new important side stories were added that fill out plot holes. After watching the extended editions I can't imagine going back to the normal ones...

I will probably watch first two today, and return of the king when I wake up

I tend to forget things that happen in the movie, if I pause it and go do something else. Need to watch it in one sitting...
