Well there's a shocking surprise Sad

The Story of Offset or how to be ass raped by Intel :
Indie devs has created a unreal superb game that had more realistic graphics then any game ever made ... yes derp kids even crysisi that cold run with all bells and whistles on a crap system
Public reaction : Shocked
so Intel bought them to help them crate this product to promote GMX on laptops ...
in reality they where used as help to redesign GMX to have better flops ...
intel thanks devs with axing the game and turning it to a tech demo for the new improved GMX laptops thanks to offset
devs rage
intel does not fuck around axes the tech demo
devs go Sad
devs fuck intel and open a indie game studio called Fractiv
*you are here*

I thought it had to do with Larrabee and how the first consumer generation of it was canceled and planned to be redesigned for a while until it's next showing in a few years other than that they only have comparably lower end GPU's though some manage DX10 or 10.1 but not very fast as I've understood it.

Could perhaps try to promote hexa (6) or octo (Cool core i9's or what to call those (Of which the i7 980 and upcoming 985 or what it'll be called was first to demonstrate for consumers though AMD keeps up fairly well and much cheaper though not at exactly the same performance but six cores against Intel's current quad's aside from hyper-threading improvements those also have though sometimes it apparently lowers performance when active.)

They're still around as another studio but I wonder what they'll do now.
(EDIT: Some of them, others stayed with Intel and helped their GPU development it seems as mentioned in the above post and others moved on.)

Fuck DNF, why did they have to axe this game too? The soft-particle's are amazing.

This looked like it could have been a Crysis beater, in terms of visuals, and what scant gameplay info we were given made it sound pretty damned fun too Sad

Not sure there was any game info, to be honest... It was all about animations, models, graphics. That's about all the info we were given. Impressive, but still no info on the game. Sad
Well, I do hope that new indie studio makes something with it, and if they can't take the code line for line, I do hope they at least take advantage of the experience and knowledge they have gathered from this experiment. Smile

Most of what they showed were development tools they had created. Some of which were quite kewl.

Then there was that medieval tech demo and that was pretty much it as far as I know.

How can it be the new DNF, since it's been cancelled?

"a phenomenon."
