This is what I think of the pic. I think she's attractive enough that if she had a personality I liked, then something could develop there.
See, even if a girl has a great personality, if she looks like she hit every branch of the ugly tree on the way down then got bitchslapped by the god of ugliness; well lets just say Injurious can have her. 
Deelix, you're going to the extreme. Not every girl with looks is stupid as shit and acts like a bitch all the time. Of course, when it comes to marrage you want to marry someone you're both physically, emotionally and intellectually attracted to. But with girlfriends, well it's a time to experiment.

Well I think a picture gives you a damn good idea how someone looks. Besides there are enough people who are honest about this kind of stuff to make the discussion interesting.

Some ppl are honest.
Im honest....havent been laid in 4 weeks...see?  
AM is right tho. If the girl has an awesome personality, its all good and its really all that matters. Obviously, some physical attraction is needed but (even tho it sounds corny as fuck) someone's personality really can make them beautiful.
I'd rather be with a 'average' looking girl who is fun to be around and makes me feel good. As oppose to a high maintenance, stuck up diva biatch.

Pictures, if done well, can even make me attractive. So, don't BS about pics. Some people are photogenic and some aren't (I’m not  ). Simple as that. To judge a person based on their appearance, you have to meet them in real life. You can't discuss a picture. You don't know what factors are taking place. She/He could be pulling a dumb face. He/She could be drunk (red cheeks/nose [unattractive on some pictures]) He/she could be sick. Etc.
Y'know?
On forums you can pretty much discuss how a person is but not how the person looks.
Yeh. Enough of that.
It’s not about looks when you’re looking for someone you want to spend half your life with. You just gotta be compatible, as AM had stated. Heck, you might end up with the ugly girl from your class just because you two have clicked.

All my crushes pretty much have been based on personality. Funness, patience, humour, outdoorness, niceness, ( I have a weird thing about smell too). It’s a whole package deal. Ohh and some guy who is a dumb ass when it comes to finances is a huge turn off. And speaking of turn offs CLEAN EARS IS A MUST, I have a huge thing HUGE about men (well anybody really) who doesn’t fucking clean their ears. I have worked around a lot of shit,piss,spit and blood and nothing grosses me out more than fucking ear wax.
Don’t get me wrong looks are important but they have to have a certain type of look. For me it’s good posture, their body has to fit that Fibonacci(sp) number thing c(alf to thigh ration, Forearm to biceps ratio), decent teeth
I am so not photogenic I looked stoned in every one even when I'm not!!!

Come on personality plays a part but we're not talking about marriage. There are some girls that I get on really well with, so well that I couldn't have a relationship with them. Quite a lot is because we're good friends, but also I think it's not what I want in a girl.
Looks whichever way you put it is vital to begin with. I'm not saying you can't love someone who's had an accident since and they're mutilated, but in a club / pub / wherever you're not likely to go up to them and start talking in the first place unless there is some physical attraction.
Of course a great personality wins over looks, but only if the girl is of a good standard - looks wise. Personally i'm not arsed about other peoples opinions so it doesn't bother me if I like someone others don't. It's ok if they've grown on me and I see them for their inner beauty which eccentuates their looks over the passing public. But I can't settle for second best.

Well I mean, the person who I end up with would have to be the best. Meaning, if I thought I could do better, I couldn't settle for it and i'd feel bad because they'd also know that they're not the best either. I wouldn't wanna put that pressure on some1 who can't live up to expectations or whatever I choose.

As long as you'r not 30, you shouldn't go for the long term thing from the beginning. Just have fun together, be happy together, and see what it gives. And no emphasis on the far future, if it happens, it happens. If it don't happen, no problem, find another girl.
And yeah, you are vulnerable then feeling-wise (if thats a word  ). But at least you know what woman you have then. If she fucks around, dump her, get a new one. If she stays, is sweet, hold on, marry, become happy
