-ps3 graphics (judging by the video) I think it got even worse than it used to be.
-NPC companions are shit (AI; you can't give primitive orders or anything)
-co-op was not in the plans and got slapped on teh game later on, prolly to counter terrible NPC companions.
- it dips to 30 fps on ps4 pro (lul)
- the new build is much easier than the old one
- little to no changes to combat, enemies and environment (they delayed the game to supposedly make it all better)
- 3 classes, your stats are levelled up automatically
PS I was looking forward to playing it in co-op when it was first announced.. Now.. well, I don't feel like it at all. I'll prolly give isodemo a try though.
Yeah that's a good text summary of it, overall it seems fairly average whereas before it mostly seemed a bit uninspired or generic using parts from the Souls titles with some additions like gasmasks.
Overhauled or well delayed to overhaul the game but it sounds like it has problems and was also made significantly more accessible unless that's just the preview build because journalism and video games.
Lack of customization for the class system and no AI orders is a big downside because artificial intelligence tends to be more artificial and less intelligence so micro managing is almost crucial if they're to be any help at all.
EDIT: And more, can't say much about co-op but tacked on is worrying and the performance issues are terrible for the games stage of development and a fixed hardware plus it's the PS4 Pro not base console and it dips to 30 or lower from a 60 FPS cap at times such as battle.
The above video is just one of several others posted following this long period of near total silence after the initial delay but it felt like a nice fairly brief summary instead of watching some video game previewer running through the game and fumbling about for upwards of an hour or so and focusing more on features and differences so I picked that to embed as it does a good job of summing it up.
You know this is shit when the "Anime as fuck" game have Souls like animations. Fucking Nioh's moves look more anime than this.
You can't tell me we're supposed to be playing some Anime edgy vampire teenager if we don't get to wave our sword around like Vergil. Where's the style?
Well the game always seemed like they took some bits from the From Soft games and added their own spin on it but that might have involved animations and all kinds of stuff really.
It's Great-legs Grey Wolf Sif!
Smough with (more) boobs!
Anor Londo with even more spiky stuff!
Took the god-ray effect too while at it!
Borrowed some ladder out of Bloodborne!
Turned Gwyn into a mobile waifu companion!
And so on, I think the addition of gas-masks is a bit of a original touch though.

Great-legs Grey Wolf Sif.
Think that's a first, think that's also something nobody ever expected to hear it called.
"We took the bits people liked about the dancer (The lower half.) and combined it with this dog creature that is also really popular, surely that's going to be good!"
