@MateoTTR
By "time-consuming" I merely meant that you spend a lot of time doing practically nothing, just watching the guards routes, calculating the best approach, quick loading numerous times after getting killed, trying another way, getting killed again, watching the guards etc etc
"Time-consuming" as in you spend lots of time but progress is pretty slow whereas most other games even party based CRPGs have a more even pacing when it comes to gameplay.
Thief missions took sometimes 2 hours to complete but it seemed fine there. But Here.. I got 3 (so far) characters to control in real-time with lots of enemies around.
I remember quitting Thief only to go to sleep or do some other non-gaming stuff but here I quit after mission 4, then after mission 5. it just left me exhausted.

Well I guess I get your point.
I rarely have play sessions lasting more than 1 hour, so no time to get bored/exhausted.
Progression is rather slow, that's intended you are supposed to spend time planning your moves.
3 slots for quicksaving is excellent, although I wish the loading and saving would be faster.

For me it's the beauty of it. It's quite refreshing to find a stealth game where the AI isn't completely blind. The player has to think beforehand instead of killing folks and rely on nextgen tricks such as last known positions, on/off detection meters and insta-forget as soon as you escape from the cone.
The fact that the game freely allows F5ing actually makes it even too comfortable in my opinion

Does anyone know how to use Kuma to lure enemies? The game says he'll howl to draw them near, but whenever I send him out he just sits there doing nothing.

Press T while having Takumo selected. Hold D to call Kuma back.

Its a great game, im just replaying on hardcore and getting all badges and its soo rewarding redoing all the old levels with your new skills from playing the game and being soo much better.
Not all badges/achievements can be done in one playthrough though, most levels take 3-4 playthroughs.

You've already finished it ? How much time did it take you to get to the end?

I think there were 13 or 14 levels, most of the mid to later ones took me about 2hours each on first playthrough

It's kinda ridiculous though... I mean going after sake while being shot at. I think it should be patched.

Well, I found a solution to the "problem" of enemies waking up after being knocked down - thanks to my curiosity and "what if" mentality:
Spoiler: | just throw them on a roof |

Another solution :

Damn, I'm still "stuck" on the 3rd level... I haven't played such a game in a while, and I feel awfully rusty. And am also bloody tired by the time I get to play a bit in the evenings. I should give the game a proper go when I'm more mentally fresh, I suppose.

Reached mission 8 now, its getting close to Commandos difficulty at this pont, takes hours to finish a mission properly. Awesome game, I hope others follow and the genre can be reborn again.

13 missions, it'll take me around 30 hours total.
The first few missions took me around an hour each, then 2 hours, and the last few so far around 3 hours each. I do go for a clean playthrough without sounding the alarm though, killing enemies but only knocking out civilians.

Sounds like me, funnily enough playing through again on hardcore doing all achievements that weren't mutually exclusive i smashed through it.
shows a good game/difficulty curve where learning the systems actually makes you a better player, you feel like you grew as a player. too many games these days just add more HP/damage and call it hard.

Well, I'm playing on hardcore doing anything I can not to kill OR knock out anyone (apart from the targets). And from what I saw already in ~5 missions - sometimes it's impossible.
