I wasnt happy with the ending. Im not sure if it was the actual ending I didnt like or that the awesome game was over....

Well, I have a problem here: the game runs normally and stuff, and than it crashes, and my screen shows a message, I can't remember it right now, something with MHZ and stuff...
Can somebody help me?

Please tell me you people your still not using the ATI driver? Even more so, if some people have the same cards with no issue, surely that shows the issue is not with ATI cards but something else :\?

I have a 9600XT....Very High on gfx quality, 2 on AA, 1024.768 and just over the middle on draw distance...have between 30-60 fps..

Well i was talking to someone on phone and the game just started so i clicked enter all the time and i wasnt watching, i pushed so many enters i wasnt in LOAD GAME but in DELETE GAME and than i ofcoz selected the last saved because i tought i was loading it, than there came an you have deleted thing and i was going crazy, damn im such a fucking retard.

There is a program called Active@ UNDELETE, which recovers deleted files, http://www.active-undelete.com/
I used it, and it works great! |

Just for the fun of it i installed Vice City and noticed that they've removed some effects in San Andreas, like the glint in the car windows when the sun shines and old newspapers blowing with the wind. I also noticed that the car models looks a little bit better in VC and they're a bit more fun to drive (dont have highest skill in driving yet in SA though).. SA looks more dull and pastel coloured (cars especially), they shouldve sticked with the cartoonish style imho. I really hope there will be some nice mods to SA, both graphical and gameplay-wise..

LOL, was driving around flint and a plane just crashed in the middle of the road creating mass panik and total destruction. It just crashed for no apparent reason, and in front of me. Pretty funny...

This mission is teh shit, i managed to blow up three trucks, but then the plane went out of fuel. Why can't you just drive by the vans and blow them up, guess i have to try that mission a second time

Are you kidding?? I feel almost like they dumbed this mission down from the ps2 version. I spent hours to do this mission before, and I managed to beat it first try on the pc. And I had half my fuel left when I landed!! It's not like I didn't make a ton of mistakes either, flying into buildings and doing multiple passes. The PS2 version...one mistake and you were screwed. The only thing I did different: don't hold down the accelerator. I basically got enough speed to glide around, and it seems like I wasn't using fuel. No other way to explain the half tank of gas I had at the end unless they dumbed this mission down.

Just for the record I have the X800 PE with the latest catalyst drivers and it runs fine / good framerate no slowown. I am running it max on all settings with res at 1280x 1024 60hz
This may do little to cheer up other ATI users but, from my own experience, it is not an ATI thing or related to the driver so that could help in the process of eliminating other variables.
That said, I have only just started playing (doing the gay bouncy car shit misson). Initially I was gob smacked by the sheer crapness of the blocky chunky graphic - particularly in the opening section.
I suppose after a while the game grows on you and you care less about the prehistoric textures and outdated models.

i have a 9800xt and run the game on max everything including max draw distance and it runs fine. only on 1024 res tho. Im using 5.4 cats

They said they were going to make the mission less frustrating because so many PS2 users complained about it. It's not 'dumbing down' foo!

Is the game performing like shite on all ati cards??? I REALLY want to up the visual fx level but it runs horribly. Fucking NVIDIA logo....could that spell disaster for us ati users?
