price is way too high for a neat concept, thats ultimately just 'shoot the guys until you get bored'. no story, just endless wave combat.
There's a story.
TWIN PEAKS is "something of a miracle."
"...like nothing else on television."
"a phenomenon."
"A tangled tale of sex, violence, power, junk food..."
"Like Nothing On Earth"
I just finished it in one sitting, a lot of fun was had, but it took me definitely less than two hours to complete the story.
The gameplay always works really well in my opinion in its simplistic (yet satisfying) way and the Pony Island-esque narrative is pretty neat. The big problem though, is that the current full price definitely is way too unbalanced if you take into account the contents. My advice as usual in such cases is to play the isohot, and buy the game at later date when is on Gabesale.

IT'S TIME TO SET CHIV FREE
(I ultimately agree, just wished there was more of..everything)
butso much potential here. hope they make enough money and make a proper game for a sequel. imagine a minf blowing 20 hour story line with this type of gameplay and wacky lore.
also, it needs a level editor. that would pretty much be the best move the devs could do.

i took your challenge
i pirated it
i call bullshit. its just a random mishmash of nonsense
conceptually the game is great, and is fun to play (taking a shot, throwing your weapon to stun, grab their gun, shoot the next guy, re-stun the other guy again and then beat him to death!) and it had some great visual flair, and some pretty clever little bits and pieces in the gameplay but no, no story here. just vague dialogue and sequences pretending to be something profound.
the piss-weak story wouldnt bother me if it was priced reasonably, but the game squanders its cool concept on a go-nowhere silly story.
usually ill be happy to support games that actually do something new and interesting, and i was SO excited for this game, but i just cant get past how empty it is, especially for the price theyre charging... if anyones considering buying it, pleasseee wait for a discount.
also the performance was kinda spotty at times.. anyone else notice that? it was never game-breaking, but for looking how it does (its unashamably simplistic, NOT KNOCKING ITS VISUAL DESIGN!!) it never should have felt juttery or sluggish or laggy at any point, but i certainly noticed it from time to time.

saw a ton of posts about it on steam forums, but no issues here. my 970 ran it at constant 60 fps at 3360x2100 with around 20% gpu power left to spare.
and I agree, the hype for this game, and the sales it's getting are too much. it's a great concept, with solid and stylish game mechanics, but there's just not enough meat on the bone.
the fanbois keep mentioning challenges and the endless mode, but I always find such content in games useless filler and never bother with it.
would be nice seeing a bigger game built around this concept.
you have the money to blow on this, but not on something as fantastic, beautiful and story-rich as sunless sea?
you are the worst kind of people
Cool down mate. The thing is it's not that I dont have money for Sunless Sea it's just that I dont think I'm gonna play it anytime soon so there is no point of paying $8 for a game I won't be playing for very long time. The game is definitely interesting and I will grab it at some point. Having a job and 3 hobbies is really limiting my time for playing tons of games at the same time.

Game is nice and all but 20 bucks a bit too high. However, if they make or planing to make free content such as new levels, mechanics etc then it's worth a buy.
by the way story telling is way better than expected in this game. I was assuming it's going to be just a slowmo red guy killing sim but what i saw was some high quality matrix shit. Although they're trying to be edgy and cool, i'm giving a solid 5/7
