Both sides have a point, which is the problem. When something is used for simple bullying then im all for that shit to be brought down, plain and simple. Absolutely no sympathy. Fun and teasing is fine, but not in a way that will degrade someones image in the public, especially if a person is having a bad time, then it will be a multiplier.
Stormwolf is right, just because you say it is satire, joke or whatever doesn't mean shit. Everyone can defend their name if they think someone is using it to attack them. It doesn't make people snowflakes (not always). It is for the judge to decide if that was a fair use (or whatever it is called) or not.
I think there are many considerations that needs to be taken, but if Pirate Software, being the narcissistic douchebag as he is, still has a right to defend his name. In a long run i think that such behavior will not get him more fans, rather other way around, but still, he has the right to do it whether someone likes it or not. I can recognize the issue with abusing DMCA system, but this is nothing new with YT. We should be angry on YT allowing this BS not for Pirate Software using DMCA system this way and not being penalized.
I'm actually happy for what he is doing, as maybe this will finally be a downfall for this guy who is absolutely unbearable to listen with his condescending voice and attitude.

Both sides have arguments but flawed ones . Is a satire/parody. But I think they did it wrong, they was going for southpark style satire. But what exactly is it satirizing? You can't just call it that. They missed the bullseye and wandered into mockery and derogatory. And he has a right to dispute that, but should only be taken down IF proven it is not covered under satire due to its lack of definition of what it is satirizing about him.

And it's even sadder that it only really picked up after Ross made a video replying directly to faggot software's bullshit (I won't even address him using the pirate term, he's nowhere near our level, humpers), which can sorta be seen as internet "drama". That finally made everyone else look into the situation and some to finally feature the campaign in their videos, and now itmight be too little too late.
