Holly shit, the comments in there. The radeon RX 6700 XT will have 12 gigs of vram, so its easy to see where they're coming from when talking about this AMD featured game
The way I see it, every life is a pile of good things and bad things. The good things don’t always soften the bad things, but vice versa, the bad things don’t always spoil the good things and make them unimportant.
where are the shiny surfaces thy were always showing in previous trailers?
Probably axed because AMD couldn't hack it.
Counterplay Games will be using DXR – via DirectX 12 Ultimate – in order to add support for Ray Tracing. The team will be using Ray Tracing in order to enhance the game’s shadows. This will be the only thing that will be improved via RT, so don’t expect better Reflections, Ambient Occlusion or Global Illumination effects.
Did they just decrease the gamma for the launch trailer, to make it looks less blinding? It just looks awful. Personally I don't mind the setting, the character designs and all that, but boy, they did not think it through when they lit the game up. Everything is also way too saturated.

That video review posted above actually sounds rather positive though.
I dunno, I've been itching for something like this - a looter-game like Bordelands, but in a fantasy setting and with melee combat (so basically Diablo's setting with Borderland's camera view). And I want to be clear that graphics are mostly irrelevant to me (lots of criticism I've seen is about the graphics style).
My biggest concern is whether this will have a sufficient playerbase; it's an online game, and I don't want to buy something that's dead on arrival.
So annoying they keep making these online games. I just want to finish a game and remove it. Now they want you to let it rot on your HDD/SSD to keep up with events, DLC's and whatever. WOuld be fine if the games didn't take 50-200 GB

They launched this game without ray tracing enabled. They say they'll patch it at a later date, they havent given a specific one yet.
Makes you think, they're gimping their own game because its AMD partenered and if they'd release this turd tomorrow it'll only work on nvidia and at a higher framerate than AMD's inferior solution. So they're waiting with their game gimped and not having advertised features until AMD launches its cards and has VRS working. Amazing
Looks like it really is online only Not even your save is local. Graphics feel like a game from 2015, even on max settings. At least it runs good. Gameplay nothing special too, they copied from God of War and Dark Souls and failed in both. Guess 5-6/10 is a fair score. Oh well god bless ruskie prices i guess
Edit:
I rest my case about running good, just arrived in Earth realm and it runs like shit now.

Was able to score a key on ebay for 36 €.
I don't think I would have paid full price after the mediocre gameplay videos. However, the gameplay/combat is actually pretty solid once you start playing it yourself.
1440p (no raytracing, as it's not in yet) everything maxed out about 130-140 fps. Hickups only occured in the beginning when some animations/effects were not cached yet. For example, when I found a new weapon and used it, it was very noticable but only on the first 1-2 hits. After that it was smooth again.
Have played to the HQ and unlocked my first valor. After going to the training area, activating its ability and starting to slash away in combination with triggering my weapon skills, man it does feel very solid actually.
We have to see how the game unfolds as far as progression and end game is concerned but so far it was worth the admission.
Also, I like the weight of the body and weapons. I was never a fan of dark souls because I like to slash away a bit but the balance here is just about right. It's not warframy agile yet not too slow. It's not too easy either, in a sense that you just blow through the enemies, yet it's not too difficult that you would constantly die. I think it's just about right as it is.
