I don't know about you, but EB games here in AU has a seven day return policy. All you have to say is that you didn't 'like' the game, I've made use of this policy MANY times...

lol wow. around here faik (seeing as i havent bought a game since like 1999) they dont let you return pc games because you can copy them etc. perhaps this has changed because of CP and they think you cant copy em now.

There is a joystick fix out (Official) should fix the probs with the X axis apparently. Should work even though you are running the crack. Have not checked it yet though.
"If you encounter problems with the X-axis while using a joystick without POV-hat, please download and execute the following hotfix. It replaces a file in the main directory of Darkstar One.
This fix (and many others concerning joystick problems!) will be included in the next official patch.

Hi there. I installed game and tried out the DSO replacement (from Demonoid) - it works great...
BUT I've got a problem. I can't hyperjump to the solar system, where I should meet the pirate boss, who will help me to free Eona. I have some star systems around unexplored (no navkeys), but one star system is 5.1 LY far and my drive (LY drive 5.0) should jump it (range 5.1) - and I think I can't buy new (I looked for new one...).
Please help - if you passed this section, tell me how and wich type of crcking I should try. I got the RLD.iso... (and I'm unlike to dwnload any more images or magepacks - only crcks and updates). Pls help...
THX to anyone, who'll answer...
I can upload the save file if you would be kind enough to help me...

There's another star near there that you can go to that instead and it will be close enough to jump to your target system. Obviously they made a mistake with the distance on that one, they shoulda made the drive 5.1 instead of 5 (they did that with another drive, I think the 6 one, its 6.1 if you look at its specs).

As I previously mentioned in this thread:
It only apears when you have illigal goods that you are smuggling (the red boxes around the goods list on the screen in lower left when at a station, or you can see the list on the starmap).
I've also found it appears when you land at a station without grabbing the artifact. You can pay a small fee and a smuggler will get the artifact for you so you dont have to bother with navigating the asteroid maze yourself. As soon as I found that out, I have been doing that every time. Saves me time not to go through the asteroid my self.

one simple question anyone got german 1.2 cracked already? i need it to patch the frankengame made with the demonoid fix and the english version cos the patch solves a huge problem with the Flak mission 2 thats impossible to pass (even in the official forums everyone is begging the moderator/ascaron employee to pass that mission for them!!!!!@"$#"$"#"!°!!)

you dont need to crack the german version. just mount it with the mini image and play. mount it with dt3.47 or an older version of alcohol.

I thought that we could at least finish the campain with the unpatched 1.0 version 
Anyone else encounters the problem ?? |
i say it for the third time , I FINISHED THE GERMAN VERSION two times and with NO bugs , the only bugs that this game has or has now are AFTER THE PATCH , that was completely new to me ( new tactic i presume , the last one only fixed the protection not the game  ) - PATCH making bugs , that added the mod section to the game |

hrm, you know whats wierd.
I was getting that graphics gittery (where the screen just gitters, i.e shaking sort of) just after playing it for the first time, like almost instantly after going in the game, so i quit the game to the main menu, and it was still doing it, wtf...
I used the RELOADED FIX as well.... :S

Yea, read about somet similar some posts back. I use the Reloaded version with their crack fix, no prob what so ever. Did you delete the left over folder and stuff before you did a clean install ?. Do you have the latest GR drivers etc?

GR Drivers ?
I got the latest video/sound/lan/chipset drivers already installed (AMD 4400+, LeadTek 256MB 7800GT PCI-E, 1GIG DDR1, Nforce4)....
What folder you talking about?
Clean Install, I have never played full version, Installed game > copy cracked content over (overwrite old file) > then i run it.
Thats how i do all my cracked games, install it, don't run it, copy cracked content over, then play.

Ok yea....hmmm, weird. Well here it just works man.
I have been fiddling with the German version and the English version + a flood of fixes that never really worked....like most here. So I presumed you had done the same, hence the "delete the old folder" No idea what could cause that shaking there man. But as i said i read in this thread or in the tech section about something similar. Never saw a fix for it but.

I'm trying the patch way now, see if it makes any difference at all.

. Its still a horor to play it with original Version here (bought myself a portugese version yesterday) and its a horror how much errors orig exe generates if u log them while playing the game from a debugger
