There is no turning back if this game is released,” explained population scientist Akita Osamu, “Japan’s population is already under attack and Summer Lesson will be the finishing blow

It is already affecting Japan as we speak. I am currently single and I have already pre-ordered this game earlier today. I will die alone and that is perfectly fine with me and Nahoko which is the name of the girl I have chosen for Summer Lesson
Way to go! You gotta warn them by example!

Even Japan’s prime minister Shinzo Abe personally went out of his way to beg Sony CEO Kazuo Hirai to prevent the release of this game. Unfortunately, Hirai said that it was out of his hands arguing that Japan would eventually fall victim to a game like Summer Lesson and believed it would be most honorable if Japan did it to themselves rather than having a game from the American Oculus Rift do it.

You just gotta love Japan
And the worst part is - they might be right
Guess you should take those articles with a lot of salt.. Don't actually believe everything they write (especially on the internet) is true, you know?
Well, this is potentially pretty huge: Microsoft has announced it will be supporting cross-platform multiplayer in future, meaning Xbox One players will be able to compete against PC, PS4 and Wii U players online.
Sony is currently planning a new version of the PS4 with increased graphical power and games running at 4K resolution.
We don’t know whether current PS4 owners will be able to upgrade or if they’ll have to buy an entirely new device to benefit from this power boost, but from what we hear, Sony has started briefing developers.
Based on conversations with developers who have spoken with Sony, this ‘PS4.5’ will include an upgraded GPU both to support high-end 4K resolution for games and add more processing power that can enhance the games supported by PlayStation VR, the headset Sony will launch this Autumn. It’s unclear if ‘PS4.5’ is an official name or just a nickname that developers have been using. One developer jokingly called it the ‘PS4K’ while telling me about the device.
In layman’s terms, 4K resolution is around four times the pixel size of 1080p, which is the current standard for games on PlayStation 4 and competing consoles. The current PS4 can output 4K photos and videos, but cannot support 4x resolutions for games. With this upgrade, it would. Besides resolution, developers would have an opportunity to push more effects and other graphical tweaks to make their games look better, thanks to the new GPU.
A more powerful PS4 would also allow the machine to be more competitive with PCs in the world of virtual reality. With a higher-end GPU, the PS4 could more easily match up against the more expensive Oculus Rift and HTC Vive virtual reality headsets, which are designed to work with powerful PCs.
Not sure what to make of this. Hope I dont have to fork out for another console though.
Did anyone seriously think the "devkit" mode would turn the Xbone into and actual full-fledged DevKit? That would've been suicide for MS, a tool to re-sign games with your private dev certificate and side-load them would have surfaced in a matter of days

Yes? Because that's exactly what Microsoft said it would be.
Did they? I seem to remember them talking about it as being targeted at "indie devs" and the like. But just by considering the implications of having direct access to the hardware I was sure from the start that it would only run managed kind of stuff (.net)
It was one of the biggest XBONE selling points during reveal, that every system could become a dev kit and that everyone could create games and software on it.
So Nintendo announced the NX isn't coming until March 2017 (I assume to avoid the VR release).
They also announced the new Zelda will yet again be delayed from 2015,2016 now March 2017, and will be released on both Wii U and NX. Clearly delaying the game so they can dual-release it across both platforms.
Nintendo have no A list games for the holiday season now. What are they doing. They have had a 67% drop in profit year over year. If I were an investor I'd be super pissed. But then again, since the Wii itself Nintendo have done nothing to make me want to invest in their company.
