FC3 is on Steam sale... Never played it. Is it worth 4 tf2 keys? 5 for deluxe? DO I have to deal with Uplay DRM?

Far Cry Compilation will collect Far Cry 2, Far Cry 3, and the '80s-riffic Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon on a single disc. All three games will come with their respective single-player, multiplayer, and co-op modes intact, though they will not include any DLC packs. Ubi says the version of Far Cry 2 included here is a "full digital re-master," whatever that means.
The Far Cry Compilation will arrive in stores on February 11, priced at $39.99.

No Far Cry 1 though, but a re-mastered Far Cry 2 however this is PS3 exclusive so maybe it's a different bundle than the above one?

Far Cry 2 was great in some ways, but mind numbingly repetitive in others. If only it had been more mod-friendly, the community definitely fixed most of the major issues.

farcry1 was a great game, but more crysis than later farcry games (well it was made by crytek after all),
farcry 2 was shit, farcry 3 was good.

So there are two different compilations coming out a few days apart?
Did the original version of Far Cry 1 ever come out on consoles previously? I thought the pc and console versions of FC1 were entirely different.
There's obviously no point in getting the 10th anniversary compilation if the "Wild Expedition" includes all three. Unless it's much more expensive or the FC1 is a port of the console version.

I stopped playing FC2 back then cause it made me dizzy, dont know what it was, and I´ve played almost every action fps.

FC1 > FC2 > FC3
I don't count mods into this ranking, so FC3 is dead last because of it's shit hand-holding HUD and flashing everything. FC2 might have had some issues but at least it didn't constantly treat you like a moron. The main character of FC3 was also annoying, so were his friends.

Guys you should really give the game another shot with Ziggy's mod, it literally eliminates most of the derp from the game. All the silly red wallhacks, helps, annoying markers with invasive arrows and spoilery mini-map are gone. Also more balanced XPs and less overpowered skills. The only things left are the AI detection level (that you can still turn off from the options menu if you want) and obviously the few QTEs when encountering wild beasts. It's much more immersive, without being too hard  |

FC1 is easily the worst for me. I liked it when I first tried it years ago, but the more I played it the less I liked it, to the point that I tried it from the beginning a few times after that and I didn't like it at all. I think it's one of the shooters from that time that are overrated. Blood Dragon is easily the best, but even that has a few problems, with FC3 having even more. FC2 actually had less problems in my opinion. It was a very good framework they had, but they didn't go far enough with it which resulted in a very aimless game with some very little balance problems. FarCry has always been for me a shooter that was never made properly, they've always been riddled with questionable design decisions.
