Let's just say I got extremely lucky and got a huge discount luckily, around 20% off. Nope I can't get another one for that price 
It's a beautiful machine but not without bugs, specially software issues (most likely related to how shitty OS X has become) : minor sound issues (the system sounds are sometimes not playing or a cut) and got a kernel panic from the T2 chip (although 1 panic since I have it, which is 1 month ago).
But it's extremely silent while the CPU is used 100%, that's the amazing part, I'm astonished. The GPU on the other hand makes the fans go crazy.
I'm really amazed by the power of the CPU, but I had a core i5 from 2013, so that's probably why.

It's fine machine, enjoy it. I agree about bugs. Both HS and iOS 11 are major clusterfucks, full of bugs.

Oh and High sierra is so slow to boot, I mean my iMac pro is slower to boot than some old MacBook Air running 10.8....

HS is mostly slow because of the conversion to the new filesystem format (APFS). It does a lot more, and is quite a bit slower, especially after the Intel fuckup patches. Throughput is hit severely on APFS. And it's buggy as hell. Good luck shrinking or expanding volumes.

I played several hours more than that and I wasn't anywhere close to finishing. I guess if I had done main story only - which, you know, I probably should have, because the game is too bloated and I got bored of it and stopped playing
But Baba Yaga was a cool DLC, but with a really bad final enemy encounter.

I did bought Dell Xps 15 though,It's somewhat similar to Mac Pro, but It's really good laptop. |
I have the 9560 for work and love it. The only gripe from me is the lack of Ethernet port.

All the recent Tomb Raider games just got a patch today on Steam and one of the interesting patch notes for all 3 games is:
Updates to multiplayer infrastructure to use Epic Online Services.
So when you start up the game it has a pop up wanting you to link your Steam game with an Epic Account. This seems odd that Valve would let something like this go through but what is kind of funny is the connection is called Bone.

It looks like Bone might be a code name for the game as for Tomb Raider it says "Use BananaMania with your account at Epic Games"
Also it is said Denuvo got removed from these games with the patches today.

on the regard of online services i believe steam can't do anything since each game can use online services from whoever the publishers want, just like origin games.

The experiment already failed as they rolled the patch back because there was no way to opt out of the Epic account linking and a lot of people were complaining that they would rather just uninstall the game then be forced to make an Epic account and have the Always Online DRM to keep playing.

OR! something was wrong with the patch and they're fixing it.. WIth epic funness.

A lot of people complained there and they didn't care so why should they care now?
They also introduced mandatory epic account linking with Rocket League, where if you didn't give it one they'd just create a new account for you and link it
It still bothers me to import my steam friends every time I log in, it's quite annoying.
of course they brought with them tons of new server issues as well.
oh and I remember that patch also brought an unskippable tutorial you had to play even if you had 5000 hours in rocket league. lol

The Rocket League thing was different though since Epic bought the dev and publisher of Rocket League so that was understandable they would want and force people to make an Epic account to still play it.
