I finished it only two days ago just because I had the game installed since 2008 but didn't find the courage to play it Laughing

Wildlife worked odd in Far Cry 2, soon as they touched your vehicle (Even if parked or otherwise still.) they took a bump and died. Razz

 Spoiler:

Dylan's Far Cry 2 Realism Mod
Quote:
This mod fixes what Ubisoft left unfixed. Dylan's Realism Mod changes Far Cry 2 from an Africa-based sedan and pickup truck simulator into a (semi accurate)
African conflict simulator. Realistic weapon damage, recoil, realistic ammo loads and weapon reliability have been added, along with a more effective stealth suit, and revamped AI weapons. (No more SPAS12s and AR15s for militiamen). Checkpoint AI has been tweaked as well. Checkpoint guards now have a 60% chance to chase you after passing through, as opposed to 90%-100% in vanilla. Militiamen also communicate more frequently in combat, and use suppressing fire more often. However, you are now as vulnerable as the AI. A single burst of rifle fire can kill you, so you are probably going to need that extra ammo and stealth suit.

Very Happy

I only found about it now, but this new version works pretty well for me. Smile
I tried another similar mod before who promised similar things, and that one yes, was as broken as it could be, with a bunch of crappy features plus it never worked for me.

I can honestly say that this one turns the game into something different, for the better of course. No more super enemies, and the stealth works way better for example. Smile

My experience with FarCry 2 was exactly the definition of insanity. Very Happy

It was killing the exact same respawning enemies over and over again expecting shit to change. Thankfully, after a while, I realized Ubisoft was bullshitting me, so ... BOOM!.. I dropped it.

I mean everywhere I drove, everywhere I drove, all these fucking pricks... doin' the exact same fucking thing... Rage over and over and over...

Sorry Ubi but I didn't like the way you were treating me!!! Rage Rage You got a fucking problem in your head?!?! FUCK YOU!!!

I didn't find so bad.... Till the malaria crap kicked in and i had some time left to travel the entire map with all the enemies respawning to get the fucking medicine. Then i went bananas and uninstalled it.

Haha that's so true. Razz

I admit that I had to use a trainer to finish it (not because it was hard, but because..well like you said, it was insane). Unfortunately the ending was pretty disappointing as well, as expected Laughing

I actually like Far Cry 2. At first it was kind of boring and repetitive but I gave it a second chance and later on missions got better and whole game got somewhat more interesting. Even collected all diamonds Very Happy
