No.
I know it should be in ...\User\*****\Saved Games\Bastion\...
But that folder is empty... Yet I am still able to load my game and play on from where I left...

Play Bastion in your browser (Chrome).

This latest version of Bastion is built to run right in your web browser, using Google’s new Native Client technology. This really is the full Bastion experience, featuring our highly acclaimed 1080p artwork, musical score, reactive narration, and play experience, all built to run fast and smooth just like our Xbox 360 and PC versions. And, much like those versions, you can play through the prologue for free. The full game can be unlocked for $14.99.

More indies should do this, and more indies will do this, for sure. This is the future.

DLC announced, coming December 14, FREE on PC, $1 on 360.

Quote:
One of the most frequently asked questions we got since Bastion’s release this summer is, will there be any DLC for the game? We’ve brushed it aside, stating that we designed Bastion to be a complete, stand-alone experience and would never seek to extend the story through DLC. All this is true.

HOWEVER! In the weeks following the release of the game, we decided to put a little something together for the holidays as a show of thanks to our fans. So, on December 14, we’ll be pleased to bring you the Stranger’s Dream DLC for Bastion, which should give you some good reasons to come back to the game while preserving the core experience just as we intended. Here’s a sneak peek:

The Stranger’s Dream DLC includes:

· The Stranger’s Dream: a new fully narrated Who Knows Where sequence, bigger and more challenging than the others. You’ll gain a bit more insight into Rucks’ backstory as well as the history of Caelondia if you can survive this fight.

· Score Attack Mode: a challenging new way to play through the story! You start at level one with all Spirits and Idols unlocked. Your combat performance is rated for efficiency, and all areas are repeatable.

· No-Sweat Mode: for those who just want to experience the story of Bastion, this mode provides unlimited chances to carry on from where you left off if you’re defeated in battle.

The Steam and XBLA versions of the game will also contain new Leaderboards for the Stranger’s Dream and Score Attack Mode.

To access the Stranger’s Dream sequence as well as Score Attack Mode, you need to have finished the game at least once. The Stranger’s Dream sequence will be available early on in your New Game Plus or Score Attack play-through.

How to Get the Stranger’s Dream DLC
Steam Users: You’ll receive this free update automatically through Steam when it becomes available.

Xbox LIVE Arcade Users: Start the game on December 14 or later to be prompted to download our new Title Update. You’ll see an option to download the new content from the main menu once you have the Title Update, which also fixes various minor issues in the game.

The Stranger’s Dream DLC will be available for 80 Microsoft Points ($1) on XBLA, which we can’t make free due to Microsoft policy, so it’s about as close as we could get. Though, since you’ll be getting a good chunk of new content, we think you’ll be satisfied with your purchase.

Non-Steam PC Users: We’ll be working with the various online vendors to update their versions of the Bastion installer so that you can download the latest version containing the update.

Google Chrome Users: Our newly-announced Google Chrome version will be getting this DLC as well, in the coming weeks. Your version of the game should update automatically when the DLC becomes available.

Aw man, this developer is something else, something truly amazing, and Bastion was worth every single penny. Truly magnificent game AND free DLC? Win. It's a shame existing owners don't get free access to the Chrome version though, heh, that at least would mean I could play it while I'm away in England Very Happy

But hey, at least they're open and honest about it, unlike others. It's so rare to hear devs speaking out against MS' policies, indie devs seems to be only ones who do.

That's what I WAS going to say when I saw "Bastion DLC" -- but then I read it was free for us and I was all PC Master Race

Just tried the Chrome version (hey, I was curious Very Happy) and wow. They managed to pull this off from a BROWSER? That was awesome! Firewhat? Laughing

Bastion Update Released
Product Update - Valve
Bastion Update 08 Released

Supergiant Games has released a new update for Bastion, which adds the new Stranger’s Dream scenario and other new content, and addresses several issues. This update will be applied automatically when players restart their Steam client. The change list includes:

- The Stranger’s Dream: a new fully narrated Who Knows Where sequence, bigger and tougher than the others.

- Score Attack Mode: a challenging new way to play through the story! You start at level one with all Spirits and Idols unlocked. Combat performance is rated for efficiency, and all areas are repeatable.

Note: To access the Stranger’s Dream sequence as well as Score Attack Mode, you need to have finished the game at least once. The Stranger’s Dream sequence will be available early on in your New Game Plus or Score Attack play-through.

- No-Sweat Mode: for those who just want to experience the story of Bastion, this mode provides unlimited chances to carry on from where you left off if you’re defeated in battle.

- Added two new Leaderboards for the Stranger’s Dream and Score Attack Mode.

- Added four new Steam Achievements! They are:

Ride the Wind
Use the Skyway in the Wharf District.

All in the Mind
Complete the Stranger's Dream with five or more Shrine Idols invoked.

About the Author
Complete the Stranger's Dream with all ten Shrine Idols invoked.

Hard Bargain
Earn a total of at least 1,000,000 points in Score Attack Mode.

- Fixed an issue in Prosper Bluff that could cause players to get stuck in a specific area.

- Fixed an issue in the final area of the game where players could fall through the environment unexpectedly.

- Fixed some English-language subtitles.

Strangely the update only seemed to be 15MB Scratch Head Shocked

As it turns out the 1$ is because M$ is a bunch of douches and because "there shall never be free DLC on our console!" or something to that extent...

Yup. They will not publish your content on LIVE unless it costs money. That's why Valve doesn't have nearly as much stuff on TF2/L4D2 on Xbox as they have on PC. Like PC has had over 100 updates while Xbox something like 10 or so.

That's quite good for a game like this. Really glad to see the game doing well in terms of sales. I want to see something different from Supergiant Games now instead of going the same path as most developers and milking their franchises to death. That would also make them an even more special company in this industry.

And it sold better on PC, despite launching 1 month later.

Quote:
According to that leaderboard, 55% the game's sales (273,000/500,000) were on Steam. If we go by the thread hosts formula, that number is 60% of over all sales (300,000 out of 500,000). And this doesn't take into consideration the 160,000 people who used the Chrome version.

This was despite nearly a month lead on 360 and heavy Summer of Arcade promotion.
