sorry but no one gives a shit about your piece of shit opinion.
Way outdone of a response.
its really not that different from your post
what's wrong with the game?
For an old school FPS, they should've done away with that horrible mouse acceleration.
Having to restart back to a very far away checkpoint because the fucking game bugs out. and it does so a lot. enemies' AI stops and my gun can't fire.
Performance is really bad for a UE3 game.
I understand that most people have their nostalgia goggles on when they play this game and can overlook the game's issues for the sake of nostalgia. but for me the game came out earlier in development than it should be.
Having "old school" mechanics seems to be the only thing going for this game but the execution is pretty bad.

Couldn't have said it better myself. Especially for a game that's supposed to be a homage to the original, having to fight through a 20 minute level only to die and start back at the beginning is bullshit.
Hmmmm well, I for one don't have any of the mentioned problems with the sole exception of the mouse acceleration, and I got that fixed very quickly with a few tweaks to the usual UE INI files. There's even a few stickies about the fixes in the Steam forum.
yeah for acceleration use mark c tweak and u3 engine games always go to input.ini and disable smoothing. pefrormance is low for u3 and the game does bug out ocasionally. once i was supposed top be trapped in a net, but there was no net, so i jsut stood there getting killed
Still though, i'm having a blast. im on episode 4 now which im guesing is the last episode. rocking classic midi music and bunny hoping around with rocket launchers is enough to enterntain me for a few hours sometimes
Should be enough to defeat the evil acceleration. As for the rest, it depends on what you're looking for, I think the game does a great job at reviving the 90s, except for the checkpoints.
completed the game last night. final boss fight was insane and required a cheese tactic to win. Well come to think of it, all bosses required cheesing at least during a part of the fight.
Well worth the 2 days i've spent playing this. bring on shadow warrior and wolfenstein!

Are they going to add a proper saving system or I can forget about playing this (at least for a time)?
This! I would play it but after trying to complete a jumping puzzle that ends in dying yet again I gave up.

Trying to find JUST the patch.....sounds good though!
Ok I give up for now. The single player in this game is so fucking bug ridden, especially during boss fights. Getting sutck inside walls, clipping through the floor and falling over lava and not dying from it, soldiers spawning behind your neck inside an already cleaned room, you name it.
I'll just put the campaign to rest until the devs are done with their patches and fixing their shit. Maybe the multiplayer is not so problematic?
And they need to hurry the fuck up with dedicated servers, add some more maps, balance a few things. Out of the 5 maps, there's 2 which are utterly horrible. One has 4 flying powerups which you can then use to dominate the staff with, the other is just a very annoying map on the UE3 engine (for Q3 players: think DM13 with the outdoor bit 3-4 times as big..and narrower).
And then there's that. The staff. Having a lightning gun, fine. But don't give the fucking thing lock on, please
The plasma g..errr base ball bat with the eye is also a little *too* powerful, although that's mostly because it's a BFG with a plasma gun's rate of fire.
Well, I don't have the game and I'm not sure if I'm even going to like this in multiplayer. I actually prefer team-based stuff like Natural Selection, Tribes or Section 8 when it comes to multiplayer FPS games... so yeah, there's that too.
Hehe yeah, it's definitely faster and much more chaotic than the games that you mentioned . It's something like Q3, only with some seriously overpowered guns and hilarious 'abilities'. Kinda messy, but fun for some brainless sessions like Paul said.
@Areius today we did only 4-5 quick matches just to test it . Next time If we manage to gather some other people too (3vs3 for example), it'll be even more crazy fun, that's for sure.
