holy shit this a great game, though i'm botherd by the fact that some trials are really really long and there's no autosave, oh well, worth playing since it's excellent even if you're not into platformers (like i am)

tho it would be nice to be able to save manually in the Bastion base (saving before choosing a certain upgrade or item purchase for instance).

Nah, the proving grounds aren't long at all -- there's a bloody timer on most of them Very Happy I *think* he's referring to the wave-based trials called "Who Knows Where" - the retrospective/flashback sequences.

Yeah, didn't get there yet as DXHR has hijacked me Very Happy but looking at the Leaderboards it's pretty obvious

I played this game a little and i must say it's very good. Smile

The narrator is cool, graphics look very nice, soundtrack is lovely and gameplay is immersive.

Finished it today and the ending sort of felt like this:
 Spoiler:

Gonna go through new game plus and choose the other option.
Btw. are there any references to it being a new game plus?
So far there's been one short line by the narrator pretty close to the beginning but that's all so far.

Glad to hear it. The game was perfect, it doesn't need anything else tacked on.

Well, like i said - no need for story-based dlcs - but they could add a co-op mode for the dream sequences. Or create specific stages for that. Maybe even some kind of vs gameplay. Could be fun with all the weapon combos, tons of skills and the awesome shield counter mechanic. I think they thought about coop before but scratched it - so maybe there is some netcode already developed. I'd pay 7-10 more bucks for a robust MP addon.

Just finished this and I mean, really finished (1 normal playthrough + 1 playthrough on New Game Plus). Man, this game is just... WOW! Actually, this is not a game. Simply put, it's pure art. Ok, so GOTY material for me this year so far are:

1. Deus Ex Human Revolution
2. The Witcher 2
3. Bastion
4. Portal 2
5. Magicka

With the following as honorable mentions:

Two Worlds II (it was released this year in some regions)
Alice: Madness Returns
Hard Reset
Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood
Darkspore (from what little I played in the beta; I'm not sure how much I would play it if I would buy it, but it's a really solid game in my opinion)
Path of Exile (Closed Beta)

Does anybody know where the THETA release stores the savegames? They are not in the steam-folder obviously, and I can't find them anywhere...
