iirc i remember them saying the game is content complete back in August ... so i guess depends on how long they need to polish and how it fits to Nordic's release plan
Should be. But who knows what they really mean with today's weird development cycles. Maybe they did it backwards and first made the assets and now they need to code them in (aka the Star Citizen way ).
They're sure taking their time, this thread was started in 2014 haha. At least the development seems to be alive again, the footage looks pretty decent as well.
Aquanauts, the wait is over! Almost 19 years after the first release of AquaNox in November 2001, you will finally be able to dive into the world of Aqua again - in Aquanox Deep Descent.
Submerge into the abyss on October 16, 2020 on PC!
They should fix cockpit/hud when maneuvering, to directly follow mouse, at this stage maneuvering will make a lot of people dizzy . Other than that game is nice.
The game doesn't have any particularly malicious faults and the idea of sticking to its classic linear mission-based roots is a good one on paper, but if there was a special competition for the dullest implementation of an otherwise inspired setting and concept, this nuAquanox would probably have a fair shot at being the winrar.
It's a low budget production so underdeveloped aspects are to be expected, however, between the unsatisfying weapons, mundane mission design, high amounts of follow(tm) and the Syfy-esque writing, the slow-paced combat rarely manages to really shine since the formula doesn't include any meaningful exploration either. I was hoping to find juicy underwater member berries in here, but got decaying urchins instead.
