I don't know how the automatic quick save that pops up in this game is supposed to work, but for me it *didn't*. I booted it up 10 minutes ago and it seems there are no saves to load from!
Fortunately, I just discovered that pressing L1 puts the game into fast forward, so I was able to finish the prologue in like 2 minutes and I made a manual save now, and can confirm it saved for real.
Just a tip in case others also discover that the game didn't save.

Got the game on Switch, and been playing it on and off the past couple of days due to the slow burn story and slice of life with time travel plot.
Main character is entertaining enough with his chuunibyou stuff, but that laugh is really annoying because that's the laugh my friend in high school would do out in public. Like we'd be out at the mall and he'd keep trying to insert Dragonball or One Piece references into the conversation and then start doing that annoying and really loud laugh causing people to turn their heads.
The laugh was more a One Piece reference thing, I guess he was trying to emulate a character. If it was Dragonball it would mostly be that instant teleportation move. He'd go, "I'm going to use instant teleportation!" and then bring his fingers to his forehead before walking really quickly, with his fingers still to his forehead.
He still did this when we were in college.
Also all the, "don't call me Chris" repetition was pretty annoying.
So didn't really see much of the appeal until shit got real and took a dark turn.
Then it got all feel good and uplifting before quickly nosediving to depressing as fuck.
This game is so good, and that slow start was really worth it now that I'm at this point in the story.
Are there other VNs that take you for a ride like this?
