Jesus, I'm so fucking tired of people with no creativity whatsoever, people who use generic sigs or get others to make sigs for them, bashing those of us who make something creative. LET'S SEE YOU MAKE SOMETHING BETTER FIRST, THEN YOU CAN SAY MINE SUCKS. until then, please stfu.
This is exactly the reason I hate critics: Nothing but hypocrites who can't write/act/direct/create worth a damn, but consider themselves entitled to state their overhyped opinions about someone else's work. It's bastards who can't come up with anything better than two layer's worth of effects and some lame text in font 12 Times New Roman for a sig, that can't photoshop their way out of a wet paper bag, that THINK they know everything because they did a blur effect on a photo and put it on DeviantArt, that piss me off the most. I'm not against constructive criticism, one cannot always see one's mistakes, and I don't claim to be the best or know everything, but "OMG IT $uXXoRs t3h m0nk33 B4ll$" is NOT CONSTRUCTIVE CRITICISM. Constructive criticism is easy:
Step 1. Look at what you're about to criticise.
"OMG Your painting suxx" is NOT constructive criticism for a statue.
Step 2. Think.
"It suxxors becuz, um, becuz it suxxxors" once again, is not constructive criticism.
Step 3. Vote.
If at this point you can identify a valid reason WHY it sucks, vote. If you can't be arsed to, find another thread to crapflood. The Useless Void is full of these.
Step 3. Offer suggestions.
If you've decided to comment on whatever you're critisizing, tell me what would you do better. Tell me your personal experiences, what works for you, and what you avoid. Tell me why. If you can't bothered to type it out, once again, DON'T POST.
Step 4. Consider previous comments.
If it's been said 12 times before, we don't need to hear it 13.
Step 5. Click Submit.
If this needs to be explained, see step 2.
Congratulations. You have now submitted constructive criticism.

I suppose as long as there is someone stupid enough to cheer for them, there will always be the destructive comedian/critics we see today. My middle fingers up to all those who fall in said category.

You should follow steps; 2, 3, 4, 5 in general. Mainly step 2. I mean seriously. The fuck crawled up your ass? You made a general thread to criticize your sig. Then when they did what you asked for you yell at them. You call them ignorant, untalented and uncreative. Fuck… have you put some thought into it? Maybe it is you who has no talent at all? Maybe it’s you who sucks? Maybe you shouldn’t make threads asking for opinions then yelling at those who have different ones?

Maybe... then again, maybe I was looking for people to tell me it was off. Maybe I did think "Looks good overall, but something's a tad off.. An effect that's not JUST right or... something. Let me see if the other people in this forum, some of whom are quite talented, can help me out and give me advice". What do I get instead - "it sucks" coming from 16-year olds who can't be assed but to put a generic game service's tag in their sigs and bored yokels who can do no better than take bad pictures of cars while driving. I WANT TO BE CRITICISED! BUT I WANT CONSTRUCTIVE CRITICISM! NOT THE CRAPFLOOD OF '1t suXX0rZZZ!!!11!" I see so far. If none of you can give me that, for whatever reason, this thread should have 5 votes and 0 replies. It's the reason I come here - people have fun, but the standard of thinking and conduct is usually above that of the standard 13-year old. "1t suxx0rs!!!11!" Is the level of a 13-year old. Thus I am disappointed with the replies I got, thus my negative comments. When will people get it past their skulls that constructive criticism does NOT equal criticism, that a game cannot be judged entirely from it's engine, that one cannot decide the quality of a book by it's cover - that to decide the quality of something, it must first be dissected, analyzed, and recompiled, that one should not just share one's overall first impression - it doesn't help. Van Gogh's art gives off little first impression. On first sight, the Mona Lisa is a bunch of brush strokes on canvas. ART CANNOT BE JUDGED BY THOSE WHO CANNOT UNDERSTAND IT. One cannot allude to shakespeare if one believes "To live or not to live" was written by Dave Letterman!
