But that's understandable, we all have our main commitments. When they invite people, they know that some will not report back and help then ironing or even to play it. Of course, more the better, and in this case there's a honest commitment in trying to make a better game. The most important is the balancing and helping them adjusting some UI, even when the main "frame" is already finished.
This is a game that developers want to keep supporting after releasing, and making it better. Then there's also the commercial reason, they want probably to launch expansions and most of all want to expand it to new titles, like the original franchise.

Translated with google:
Quote: | I did not think that I know the Second World War again is so much fun! Armoured Corps is an incredibly good Neulauflage of the old classic SSI Panzer General. One feels immediately at home - even the sober backdrop seems to be the same even if the vehicles are made new. But the hex battlefields tactically challenging combat and motivating the pleasant world war campaign - all reminiscent of the old times. Whether the principle of simple turn-based strategy game is also suitable for novices, as it gradually increases. Only the combination of the right weapon for victory, which takes you further and further towards Moscow, London or Washington. You play by his own World War II, the tactical ability to run each other than in the reality of what motivates enormous. Is merely annoying, the AI reacts sometimes inflexible on their own weaknesses. And pity is that missing the Africa Corps and an allied campaign. In addition, the game compared to the classics has barely developed, but that is exactly what appeals to me because nowadays scarcely a strategy of complexity and detail of these approaches. This simplicity coupled with complexity and multiplayer makes for great entertainment. I'm looking forward to the new edition of Allied General, which will hopefully not! |

Beta is over, I still didn't run the game a second time lol. Bitmaps with health points fighting each other in epic hex turn-based combat ? Nooo.
Quote: | Dear VGA,
As you probably know by now the beta test is complete. The bugs are fixed, the missions are balanced, the features are in. The game is gold! The amount of time and effort the beta team put in to Panzer Corps is immense and without you we could not have made Panzer Corps the game it is. We'd like to say a huge thank you to everyone who helped.
The NDA restrictions are now lifted and you can talk about Panzer Corps anywhere you like. In fact the more you talk about it the better! One thing you should know though, you did not see the full game and there are some surprises in store even for you in the final version!
However, thanks are not enough so we would also like to offer you this special discount voucher. This voucher gives you 25% off your purchase of the digital download version of Panzer Corps.

You don't like the style of game that's fine, but saying that this is not a real game... well.
You know, not all people like chess, it's a real game even though.
And if they charged me 60, I would end up buying Panzer Corps. Because it's great, a good game.
Only not for all.

Seems to be fake.
Edit: It definitely is. There is no mention of any scene release pertaining this title in any of the predb sites either. Tested myself and the iso contains a password protected rar file.

Umm, TriViuM isn't part of the scene. Plus, you must've downloaded the release off the wrong place in order for it to have a password ...

It's a little more harder, and there are a few differences. This is more related with PG forever than with original PG. Things like, you can only freely reinforce your core units after scenario with green replacements not with the elite/veteran unless you pay, gives an all dimension to the strategy how you use your core units.
However the bigger differences will be with the multiplayer part and modding. Because the game was made with modding in mind, so a lot of its features are easily modded. Remember that this brings a scenario editor. And the multiplay now is functional, and we all know that playing against an human opponent can be much more challenging and different. From what I read everybody's is happy with the multiplayer part.
Great game.

If you are using Win7 x64 try renaming the video folder to something else, like video1 for example. It'll bypass the intro and take you directly to the menu once you run the exe.
If you are using XP there should be an 32 bit regfix floating around which fixes that CRC error.

Great game! And I loved the dynamic tutorial, very helpful for people that are not used to this kind of games I guess.
Worth buying!

I'm wondering if I should get this game, been quite a while since I played Panzer General, looks fun though. Maybe I'll just replay Panzer General and see if I can still get hooked by it first.
People who actually played Panzer General, is this worth buying?
