Seems to me (after reading the wiki a bit) there's not much to do aside from cutting trees, mining iron, and making walls and nails, then building your house. Or am I wrong?

It's a nice concept but it should be expanded to nicer/larger houses and different buildings. (Apparently you can make a stone house later, and that's as far as it goes)

I guess it depends.. i mean.. is there any point in playing any game ? Razz

Most games have a story and/or goal. This seems to be like the sims, except you only get one sim, and there doesn't really seem to be much else.

When you say it like that, is there any point in living? Wink

I think I'm gonna pass Wurm for now, seems like a game I might like, but if I can't be sure there will always be goals to strive for, I don't think I'm gonna risk playing it for days and then finding out it was for nothing. Plus Fallen Earth has been keeping me busy enough.

on this toon im playing currently.

24 and S2 not long been in S2, was so much to get done in S1 and still got 2 bugged quests to finish for Action point farming..

but ive done every mission as good as related for me and at least once done each repeatable mission for xp in all towns and outskirt areas in S1.

things start to kick off better once ur past lvl 15 i found.. but worth getting those AP missions done..

not sure how much of a mmo player you are dedication wise, but FE does not really open up till ur 15 + its to do with skills/craft abliity etc, and in trial you may not get the better picture of the game,., the lower levels are pretty odd really, it has a slight learning curve but make use of reading and the help channel that you will autojoin I think..

I love it, and I'm under 15. Sometimes I just get lost doing shit for hours without earning a single xp. Just running errands from bank, to AH, do some crafting, play some blackjack.

And I just started PvPing a little yesterday and it was tons of fun.

They added multi-story buildings, as well as a few great additions, like paperdoll for equipping stuff, and actual character appearances, so players no longer look the same.

Imagine you're peacefully chipping away at a wooden log, until you hear skittering... when you turn around to investigate the source of the sound you see this before you.

What do you do?

I keep chopping that wood, those 4 seem to have it occupied, plus I'm quite comfy behind my walls. Very Happy

Right now I'm looking for a new site for my farmstead, been a long while since I last logged on and where my site used to be is now a treefarm for some local idiot. Very Happy

Incidentally, the area where I'm looking is literally chucked full of the corpses of these damn spiders. There are a few smaller beasts, but I have a feeling we had a lava flow somewhere and the local kingdom guards were very busy for a few days with lava spiders. grinhurt

I'm pretty ok with my current setup.

25 fields, generous grazing area for the animals, and all the necessities inside the house (bed, forge, storage bins, etc). there is a colossal steppe just 5 minutes of walking distance from my place, and it's full of animals and enemies. They keep killing each other, so I'm set for food as well. Not bad for a f2p account. Smile

Yeah on F2P you are capped at under level 20 and you cant do anything good unless you are @ 21 and over, like ride horses etc.

Never played it myself (yet). But from what i read you can imagine this as Ultima Online in 3D. Or a more advanced Minecraft.
Means you can build and do nearly everything you can think of.

It was massive back in the early-mid 2000s, everyone and their grandmother was playing it. As Bob said, it was 3D Ultima Online, could go anywhere and do anything and build anything. Funny you should mention Minecraft though VGA, this was created by Notch and a friend, with Notch leaving the team in 2007.

So, apparently it's now on Steam, everyone and their grandmas are trying to play and the server is hammered so hard that it takes around 30 second for anything to go through, even a simple right click to open the interaction menu.

I guess that's what happens when servers built to deal with a hundred or so people at most are flooded with thousands. What on earth did they expect?
