my thread went from me finding a miniscule amount of funny in daemon tools supporting 98...not the fact that they support 98 but the fact they have to plaster it as an advertisement like they need a reward for supporting it lol.

Jawohl! Every PE file has a DOS stub, and all those stubs are relocatable exes.

It's just some old theoretical knowledge, in practice you only need to remember that when cracking dos exes don't nop calls and cross segment jmps, because then you'd also have to fix the relocation table, which is a lot more work than using an alternate way to accomplish the same goal.
