once you can operate a mac... and its appropiate programts all of adobe, fcp, etc... then you'll know pc's are shit
only good thing about pc's is that AVID is mainly made for pc's.... you'd need a 9k pc to run avid at its most reliable state... and avid for mac can and ill run on a 3k imac which is 10x better than a 9g pc you can run bootcamp and even run games that 9k may stutter playing

lol  ok over exaggerated a lot, but in the business i'm in... macs are more reliable... avid though most favored by the industry for reasons really unknown to me requires a mssive pc. yes you can run avid on a 900$ pc, but to do it with 4k footage you require at least a 6k pc.
you need ram/cpu speed/etc etc etc for 4k footage. unless you want stuttering footage and awesome render times.
and dealing with 4k AE footage... you'll lool if you can do it on a 5k pc
mac's are great... for work.
pc's are game station... macs are design work
easier to use. faster. more stable.
i mean ffs you guys had to wait 10+ years for windows7 which is a copy of osx lol
like... in 4 more years win8 or win9 will be exactly like osx only less stable and you can play games on it, but that's ok spending 1+k on a gaming system to play counter-strike is cool in your books while spending 2.5k+ on a system that'll pay triple for your platform is apparently stupid and gay

base osx is better than any windows os so far
unless you wanna play games
but mac's are used for multimedia design bs

lol awesome, I want to download the internet, dunno what has to do with macs though, I've seen bigger idiots in the pc gaming section here.
I love this thread, it brings out the idiot in just about everyone. I personally hate macs but it's down to personal preference, not going to search through the internet and find some of the most irrelevant crap pictures to make me feel better about using windows.
Every operating system has it's uses and high/low points. MAcs high points are multimedia plain and simple.
Call people stupid for paying the price of a mac, same thing can be said about those paying the price for tri-sli for 10 more FPS all while more money to water cool their systems.

You know, I don't hate the OS itself, I think if Apple releases it as a general purpose OS (like Windows) it will win big.

talk all the shit you want but I fucking love this keyboard. an old friend of mine had me build her first real PC, and she wanted this keyboard for some odd reason and I made fun of her for it, then I used it one night, wow, I almost went and bought for general use lol. |

I heart macs
there's a huge difference why people use macs and why people use windows.
that's that. macs are simple. easy to use. expensive yes, but you're not buying it to play the next crytek game. The only real benefit i see in owning a top of the line pc is gaming. and to be honest, not many decent games have been out for pc
macs come with everything you need from the moment you buy it. Preinstalled. Preconfigured. it's easy to use. a lot of people who don't know how to use a pc or have never used one get a mac. it's just like a wii. pick up and play.
