Does it matter? Whenever it is released it will be an absolutely superb game. Everyone was itching to praise Doom 3 because they were all moist for Carmack even though it was a terrible game. Everyone hates Gabe so HL2 will get slated by a lot of people no matter how good it is.
I would rather they released a complete game in 5 years time than an incomplete game now.
One thing is certain - when HL2 is released all the people who are bitching about Valve will be sprinting for their computers to download it and try it out. That one fact proves that Valve is doing something right despite all the bad press they get.
THey just recently sent out a release candidate to vivendi. it's at least a month off still. I think the rumors about an november release is pretty dead on.
no they didnt, their about to next week, around the 15:th and hopefully we'll see the game in stores by the end of next month
No, they already released a new patch for CS:S. I doubt they would make two releases on the same day, I think they noticed the strain on the last two preloads to be that stupid...
