We did a quantitive sociological test study, this is the simplified translation (the original is in Swedish)
This was the target population:
Sex: Male
Age-group: 14-35
This was the problem question:
Out of the TP, how is the inclination to pick colours, sociological studies view that "Pink" is an explicitly feminine color, whereas purple is viewed more as neutral (although some in the qualitative study argued that it was also feminine, only not as feminine as pink). And black is viewed as neutral, or even possibly male. What would the statistics provide?
Hypothesis:
The belief was that the majority in the TP would pick Black, and that purple would be second, only a minority would choose Pink.
Populations:
Out of the 301 asked, 237 in the TP answered the tri-choice question with definite answers, and the results were:
Black: 139
Purple: 77
Pink: 21
Analysis:
Our hypothesis was confirmed. No real conclusions beyond the obvious are able to be drawn from this study.
Discussion:
Color is important in our culture, and there are some colours that are distinctively avoided by males, whereas others that are viewed as "neutral", and even "somwhat feminized" is more easily accessible. This leads us to conclude that only the sex-related typical colours lead the TP to avoid them.

Don't see this as a scientific document, it's just a small experiment we did to test a method of statistical analysis.
