7 got a complete remake with a new direction, this is pretty much identical to the previous version.

A lot of the features VII got with the remake are already in this game

Modern controls, third person view, a 'new direction' (after coming from the PSX version), faster paced combat and so on. It's not as if Crisis Core was on the same level technically as the PSX FF7

The visuals have been given a significant upgrade as well

I don't even like the game that much but I'll play it again. It being a 'PSP game' doesn't mean much, the PSP had loads of good games that are still worth playing. More so with changes like this

i don't think it's an issue ether, i'm just responding to "feels quite cheap" comment. only so much you can do with a psp remake unless you completely change the core but fans just wanted it to be accessible.

Seems they stole an image from Getty Images and forgot to remove the watermark for one of the paintings in the game.

Refunded it

If they're going to charge full price, the cinematics should have been rendered at a modern resolution. Looks like garbage going from game > FMVs and back again. The sound effects shouldn't be super low quality while the voices are now incredibly crisp. The new VA is terrible. Lots of stuttering as well.

For $30 maybe, but not what they're charging

For what it's worth, JP VA isn't terribly impressive either. I agree with your points. Feels awkwardly low quality. But i enjoy the gameplay so i'll keep pressing on

this piece of shit engine (plus inept devs) ... And then you look at all the announcements of development houses switching to UE5 ... Fortnite, after switching to UE5, the flashship game from the makers of the engine still has shader comp stutters. Besides games losing their unique visual makeup that proprietary engines give, we'll now have near assured stutter in every unreal 5 game
