I actually still had one of those in my inventory up till a few months ago lol. I gifted it to my cousin without telling him what it was or any context and he's like oh cool thanks bro. I got a text from him 2 days later "dude.....what the fuck is this dumb shit.." lol |

Gun Monkeys was truly legendary. The game isn't even available for purchase anymore, probably because there still are more copies of it around than humans on Earth. I remember that it was also used as some sort of meta-punishment for those who were particularly lucky in the raffle: "yes you can get your shiny games, but only if you grab one copy of Gun Monkeys too!"

I want to give away the keys I've gathered throughout the year so I'll open a thread for that in the sharing corner. First round I'll do 1 game / person and if any remain I'll do a round 2 and post the remaining with the hidden tags.
I was interested in when it would be best overall for you guys. This evening or tomorrow sometime?
EDIT: Ok, I was thinking, would it be better with how the big one was handled? Raffle for each game - start this evening, leave it until tomorrow? Need to look into how I do that.

The raffle idea would just be nice due to timezones especially with the holiday so it does not become a race and also it might get more people to at least see the topic so they have more time to enter.

Like that I could use steamgifts with private giveaways I think. But I was thinking of doing it manually by using a random name picker like that and having people enter by posting in the thread with the games they want, the way Pumpy and SpykeZ did the big ones in past years.
My issue with the steamgifts idea is that it would potentially spread to people outside the forum and I don't really want that.

That looks like it would work but depending on how many games you are listing, you might just want to put a cap on the amount of games each person can pick total as that way it would save you some time and you dont have someone just add every game as their choices. In the previous xmas giveaways they weighted the amount of games you picked so if you picked 20 games your win chances would be pretty slim to win especially if going up against someone else that had only picked just that one game as their only choice so the limit would at least hopefully spread more of the games around.

Yeah, I'll have a limit, but I don't know what to use to have chances decreasing with more entries as I'd prefer that too. Still trying to see what the final list is like, but I mostly have things setup. Is a 5 games limit per person too much / too little with a pool of 40-50 games?

5 games seems fair especially if you cannot find a way to weight it as that way you know people are picking games they really want and the more popular titles will probably have a lot of entries so the chance someone would win all 5 of their choices would be low. Just maybe if it is something like a game and DLC for the same game, have them grouped together as a bundle that way you don't have someone win the DLC that does not own the base game.
