Completed and I very much liked it, just like I enjoyed the first. I haven't read about the story or setting, but I guess this is a prequel to the first game?
Spoiler:
Six is weird in some cases, noticed it breaking a manequin fingers or beating a porcelain kid in the school, she even enjoyed burning that character at the morgue
Just finished the isoadventure as well with its platforming, mini puzzles and signature running away from freakish humanoids, it was solid and pretty imaginative as far as the sub-genre goes. The game is still on the short side (took me about 4 hours) and occasionally the trial 'n error factor comes across as too nosy, but the excellent atmosphere coupled with the quality visual style/sound effects, the complete absence of HUDs and the organic physics-based use of environmental designs definitely made the experience worthwhile
Although as it often happens with such pseudo-sidescrolling-focused titles with no aiming the gamepad is the most suitable controlling method, there are many specific situations and little details that classify as brilliant. 'Tis a valid sequel, I'd collocate it above the original as it feels more full-fledged, the ending was rather unique too. Will most certainly grab it on a future Gabensale when fever dreams will be cheaper.
Edit: it appears that the complete final/secret ending gets unlocked if one finds all the glitched bodies. It's just a short cutscene though, nothing fancy
The secret ending pretty much reveals this was a prequel. Six's dark self points out at a poster that has the Maw on it while we can hear her stomach growl. I also think the normal ending gives us some perspective about those eyes that hunted Six in the previous game. Those are most likely Mono.
It's obvious now that some of the little ones are either possessed by some monster or they are a monster themselves.
Though i liked it, playing with a gamepad (Logitech F510 rumble) sometimes made some sections even hard due to the direction change detection.. That, or doors etc..
The game was a nice prequel.. I had to read online what were the DLC about etc to save me some time, but seeing how the company decided to not make anything more related to LN makes my day (Atleast for me)... Too many mindfucks
6/10. Play once, forget

Little Nightmares 2 combines the eerie with the almost grotesque to create a fantastic horror experience without the need of jump scares. The game doesn’t overstep its welcome, staying brief in its delivery of dreadful harmony between its constituting elements. This leaves a lot of unanswered questions and growing mysteries for the sequel that will hopefully come.
Pros:
+ Puzzling narrative
+ Fantastic visual design
+ Refined gameplay loop
+ Unsettling music
+ Superb execution of horror
Cons:
– Problematic Controls
– Invasive depth of field and film grain
– Some technical issues

This is one of the few series that actually deserves a continuation.
If they "ever" do one then complete the series, close all theories, answer all doubts without leaving a trace and put a true final ending and call it a day
